October 28, 200718 yr Author I was thinking the same! I live in silsden & heard nothing! Im thinking that in 2 months it will be open again under the 14 day rule & that will be good news to have a british championhip event there again! I have heard that it will be open for 21 days next year. Is there any where else to go what is rough Holden like for practice.Thankyou
November 8, 200718 yr Unfortunately Planning Departments do not have much of a concept regarding timescales for approvals, decisions etc. Its good to see that the Yeadon & Guisley Club are obtaining the assistance of a specialist and are taking the fight to the planners.
November 10, 200718 yr Story on this added to front page, Andy, Barry Robinson, Yeadon & Guiseley Club. I remember taking my two sons Kevin & Phillip Morphett to Addingham Mooreside in 1981 for a British "A" Class Youth Championship Trial competing with Tony Scarlet and Steve Sanders, Kevin & Steve were born in 1964 so the point I am trying to make is the Y & G club have used this Addingham for More the 25 years.
November 10, 200718 yr Great to hear about yeadon & guisley club putting pressure on the planning department! about time this problem was resolved? As the venue is a great place to host trials & practise. I have been up rough holden a lot and you soon get bored of the same old rocks and hill climbs! Adingham moorside or the nab as we call it us silsdeners? is great place & you never get bored as there is allways something else to test your riding skills after all thats why yeadon & guisley hold the mackenzie trial there. I'll just merge your previous topic with this one, shall I? You already know the complainant is a Council member. I'm sure it will all pan out and news will be published when it becomes available.
January 9, 200818 yr batunball Posted Yesterday, 09:39 PM still all quiet on addingham its a joke Alot has been happening behind closed doors, sometimes it is not always wise to blast everthing all over the interweb the moment something happens. Planning authorities wil not rush for no one. So unless you have somthing constructive to say, don't knock the poeple who are giving up valuable time and money trying to save this venue. Patience is a virtue.

Well said, I fear batunball is one of those that think Trials happen as if by magic & hasn't the first idea as to the amount of graft that goes in to give folk their 15 quids worth of fun on a Sunday.
January 9, 200818 yr im on the fence on this one, on one hand i feel that we should bide our time and give way to bureaucracy, on the other hand i watched and trusted the right thing would be done on the rights of way issues for trail riders, and look what happened there.
February 18, 200818 yr Does any one know what is happening last i heard is that yeadon & guisley are the only ones with rights to host trials there is this true or not and how many trials do they plan on having! I know that they cancelled there club trial in january! will they be hosting the mackenzie trial there! I have loads of questions but never get a answer this place was great for practicing and us local silsdeners who just want to ride on our local spot dont get a look in! not all of us want to ride trials events! some of us like a day out just enjoying ourselves riding our bikes without competing against others!
