Wye Valley A.C. chose not to apply for a round for next year. The Trevor Hunt Trophy will instead be run along the lines of yesterdays excellent 'Classic Experts Trial' in Rhayader  Two routes, Expert and Clubman, with classes for Pre 65's and Twinshocks, and hopefully those 'classic' riders put off by the severity in 2009 will return in 2010.

Not to keen on the dates in March. 5 hours each way on consequtive weekends.

Four rounds in devon and corwall is daft. and to go there on 3 weekends during the year is over and above whats ness surely? Why does the classic normandale series have more rounds than any other champs? Is this putting some off competing?

Greengrass, shame the Trevor Hunts not in the series next year. One of the better rounds I thought..... I trust there will be an 0/40 class or similar included.

(or even trailbike?).

Perce, the Blue Bar is a similar level to the Sammy Miller series, i.e. somewhat easier than the Normandale Trad series std. And a very enjoyable trial is too.

Particularly on my Pampera.

Cheers, Mike

The reason Lancs County run on a Saturday is purely because Bootle run on Sunday, we've tried very hard to make the trip to the north worthwhile, at least you get two trials on the same weekend.

In fact we asked if Bootle would change to Saturday and Lancs County would run on Sunday, thereby giving those who have a long way to travel an hour's less travelling time, the trial being very close to the motorway. However, Bootle wouldn't move, so it has stayed as it has been for a few years.

We also have a small social occasion on the Friday night in a local Brewers Fare type place and whilst we don't organise anything special, folks can always turn up as normal customers and join us as a group having a chat.

This is what gets my goat, unflexible clubs.

There are very few (if any) devon and cornish riders who contest the series, or even half so that argument just doesn't stand up. If the majority have to travel many hours then have two trials on one weekend thats better for everyone and keeps the interest going in the series surely?

Simon Thornhill excepted.
