Be another week or two before they are out yet. Yes you can ride aircooled monos and yes you'll enjoy the trials if they are the same events and standard as this year. There is one this weekend if you want a flavour of the series and it is one of the best by Hillsborough club - you may even still get a ride

Also, definitely put Bootle down in your diary, the Tavistock round, Welsh Trophy as long as it is Rhayader club running it and the Lancs County round - if they are in next year.

This will be the Mecatechno then - be nice to see one of those in action again.

Bit of a joke in my opinion the aircooled mono class, it should be named pre 1995 or something similar because you get people on old TY250's and Fantics etc... and they are competing against people on new Scorpa 4 strokes who have the massive advantage of modern technologies, eg. brakes, suspension etc... They arent exactly Classics.

Did a few rounds last year in the aircooled mono class on a TY250, great trials, good sections, nothing over the top.

Just bought another TY, and just started to strip in down ready for the 06 events.

As for the non standard bikes...live and let live I say, at the end of the day it's only a bit of fun...so what if some bloke has hacked his bike around or is riding a SY125 Scorpa, gives you a better feeling if you beat him :)

Now where's me hacksaw ?..... just need to shoehorn that 300 Gas Gas engine into the Yam frame, stick some fins on the block.....no bugger will know :D

Classic dates are about done and should be circulated before weekend. all other dates of Championships should also be circulated before weekend

Re - comments on Twinshocks - or machines made into twinshocks ? ( sorry but that's technology moving backwards)

The rules will define- for Classic and Sammy Miller:

Twinshock - a machine which had twinshocks fitted as original equipment.

Also - machines eligible for Twinshock class in either series will haver to be fitted with drum brakes.

For most of us that's alright Mark. Some people don't ride with the same sense of fun. It's the same in the pre-65, particularly with the top riders. I don't know why the top riders can't take a sense of pride in riding an 'almost' standard bike.

I can understand some mods made for reliability reasons (electronic ignition), and mods that were done with the original bikes in their prime, but turning a cub in to a modern bike with triumph stickers on it???? etc etc etc

The same will always happen - it's not the sensible ones that need regulating.

Exellent news John, nip the trickery in the bud early enough then the twinshock class wont go like the Brit class!! Top marks.
