Toni Bou - He Just Stepped Up A Gear !

Featured Replies

Can anyone deny that Toni is an exceptional talent ?

I tip my hat to him

By the look of Italian results today Toni just gave everyone a lesson in trials.

It's been this way a long time now. When he has an average day he still beats the best in the world but when he hits the sweet spot he spanks them! It's hard to comprehend just how good he is. Every rider is exceptional and raga is out of this world but bou is almost a freak of nature.

It would be interesting to try to find another sports person that is that far ahead in their chosen sport. Usain bolt? Michael phelps? There aren't many!!

If Raga and Bou went missing, things would be a lot tighter. But for whatever reason in competition the gap between Bou and Raga can be almost as large as the gap between Raga and everyone else. There's the odd exception, but that's the way its been for a while. Nice 3rd from Fajardo though.

Trial is a strange sport, bit of underdog sport. New talent only comes if younsters try trial. Most of them are too late.

Also it requiers money and motivation from a very young age to get near the top level.

But e.g. also in MX we see some guys lapping others (e.g. Jefry Herlings in MX2)

Also in extreme enduro there are some really great guys and the rest.

With sports like on the olympics its a different game. Running 100m is one hunderd of a second work.
