November 10, 20187 yr I have a 2003 Sherco 2 .9. I am changing tires on it and I am not able to get the bead to seat. It seats on both sides except for about 6 inches. Has anybody had trouble mounting the Dunlop 803GP tires. I am having the trouble with the rear the front mounted ok. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
November 10, 20187 yr Author No, the tire is sealing but the bead will not pop. I have put 50 pounds of air in and still no joy.
November 10, 20187 yr It could take 80 psi. Lube well and try more air. Best if you have a clip on your chuck to stand back.

Are you sure that it is not fully seated, even though it didn't pop? (The OLD IRC tires did not pop, even though they were fully seated, then promptly deflated when you hit a bump - they were too slack).
November 12, 20187 yr You can buy a lifetime supply of the proper tyre lube from a major tyre supplier for less than a tenner.
November 12, 20187 yr Author Got it. Went up to 80 pounds and it popped. Very scary. Thanks for all the help.
