Jitsie Protective Gear

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried the jitsie protective gear and what's it like to ride in ?

Thanks in advance

Mick

Just the knee/shin guards. Don’t even notice them

What Timdog said. I got elbow pads a month back. They're not as inconspicuous as the kneepads when walking about, but unnoticeable while riding, they don't restrict movement or move about. I throw both in the washer and they're holding up well.

ah ok cheers guys i'll drop a hint to earache about christmas is coming and see if she takes the hint ?

  • 1 month later...

My son wears the chest / back protector, never had any issues, very felxible and stretchy and doesn't hinder his riding at all.

Such endearing qualities in your reference to her who must be obeyed. No saucepans as a big present this year then!

Well just a quick update on the Jitsie protective stuff, "She that must be obeyed" actually did as she was told for once and got me the right gear...what's even more surprising is it's also the right size...

I ended up getting the elbow protectors and the long knee/Shin Protectors, very impressed with them comfy to wear and can't tell your riding with them on...I'm only a dolloper but yes I'd buy them again for sure.

Great bit of Kit.

What is the fit like for the elbow guards? How big are your arms etc? Thanks.

The fit is very good on both elbow and knee, there is a sizing chart to go off, I'm 6ft  and 90kg just regular I guess... if you stick to the measurement guides I think you will be fine.

So after a reasonably impressive off at the top of a step at weekend, Not sure whether it was the shock of actually getting up it but stupidly I wasn't covering the back brake and looped the bike, with me and the bike back at the bottom of the step where I started from with it on top of me..

I'm buying some back armour seeing as all of the rest of me escaped major pain thanks to knee and elbow protection I've looked at the Hebo XTR and the forcefield but there are quite a few versions ?

Any pro's cons with either ?

Thanks in advance

I have the Jitsie knee/shin pads and they are brilliant. So if that's anything to go by and I was looking for back armour I think would go for Jitsie.
