Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows if speedway bikes still use 350x19 trials tyres, and if they do, where do they get them.   I think that some of the older trials bike conversions, such as Bantam Trials bikes, would only take a 350 tyre, without extensive widening modifications to the rear suspension.

No idea about speedway but the dealers near us do classic trials stuff and have that size tyre.  It's available online if you want one.

Speedway use speedway tyres, not trials tyres and all trials tyres these days are 18inch.

If you put a 19" trials tyre on a bantam you would need to extend the swing-arm, and that's all that's needed to fit a proper trials tyre

Speedway use 3.75x19. You could use one at a pinch for maybe a display bike or just arsing about. If you want to be competitive, you will have to accommodate a 4 inch

i use to race speedway and the tread is very low and large squares they are now designed not to grip i can get loads free but would be us for a trials bike

 

As has been said , the tread  on todays speedway tyres is very shallow  { even when new }  

and although the tread pattern may look like a trials type there are probably differences in sidewall  & plies etc.
