Left leg start

Featured Replies

Possibly about to push the button on an evo 250, any problems with the LH kickstart? I have a knee replacement on the left. Back in my MX days I had a Maico 500 which was a pig to start had to be off the bike LH side and use my right leg to start.

The 250 Beta is one of the easiest bikes to kick. It is very easy to kick right legged too. Starts first or second kick every time.

I never found it any inconvenience to start my Beta with my right leg, standing alongside the bike. Certainly wouldn't let a left side kick start put me off buying a great bike.

Super easy to kick over. My mate has just bought a new 2019 300 and he was really worried about left hand kick but after two outings said it was way easier than he thought it was going to be.

If you are left handed then a Beta is a bonus.  Otherwise it is awkward.

Just takes practice, on or off the bike.
