  1. Past hour
  2. I'm in ireland but they should ship
  3. Thanks, loads of little jobs to do!
  4. If you are UK based, BVM Moto have loads of spares and they are Beta dealers so should be able to hopefully get parts.
  5. Fuel tap on your bike is a little strange and over-engineered as a result of being fitted with a carburetor instead of fuel injection, Wheel bearings only last a year or three at best. Fork seals wear quickly if the slide bushings are not set perfect, note that when you get new aftermarket slide bushings you might need to do some careful hand file work on the parts to make them fit well, I clean and dry fit the bushings to inspect for clearance, fit or stiction and then finish the assemble.

  7. Ah thanks. I'm going to do all fluids and filters before riding. Looking to rebuild clutch master as it's dragging and leaking at master! Fork seals are leaking and front wheel bearings are gone. Looks like petrol is weeping from somewhere under tank. That tap on the tank looks to be broken or different from the manual too. Loads of little bits to do. Thanks for help.
  8. Most rolling chassis parts and controls are very interchangeable between trials bikes, things like brakes, wheels and suspension assemblies are largely common between models and even manufacturers. We can almost tell you what all parts are going to regularly wear out and need replacement, wheel bearings linkage bearings, fork seals and slide bushings, brakes, levers, tires and chain. Most buy a spare air filter so you can always have one clean, oiled and ready to use. Tether kill switch is normally an add-on to trials bikes and a component that can often cause problems after some crashes. Being a 2007 model you should be replacing all fluids, brake fluid will be done by now if not already replaced.
  9. Thanks lemur ill search jitsie
  10. Add the word Jitsie to your search 👍
  11. Hi everyone. I'm totally new to trials, and to fourms! . I just bought a 2007 rev 250 4-stroke. All I could afford at the moment. I'm just wondering where would be the best place to source parts? I can't seem to find anything on line. Every search seems to throw up parts for the 2504t RR )which I assume is a beta enduro bike)? Or the 2stroke trials, but not the 4stroke. I want to service it and do fork seals and replace a few bits etc. Thanks in advance Noel.

    New boots

These boots are known to have a problem with the rubber inner top toe protector coming away from the boot when in use as it is not stitched just bonded , do not waste your time taking them back to the dealer if this happens just stick it back on with flexi type superglue gel.
  13. It is the same as a 2010 model . It was fitted with cheapo tyres Pirelli MT43 that are not proper competition tyres, I think the rear shock was a OLLE the forks should be Marzocchi steel stanchioned forks as most 125cc pros had until the TECH forks appeared when Marzocchi went bust. go to www.thehellteam.com and search under Tech support GasGas info.
  14. Yesterday
  15. So i found this bike for a good price I'm picking it up in a few days. It's going to be a spare bike so when buddies come to the house they have something to fool around on. It was listed as a 2013 and my first thought was the seller was just incorrect on the year. The more I research i think it actually is a 2013 (10th character of VIN is N). I think its some kind of economy version that used old left over frames and cheaper suspension and brakes. If that's true I don't know anything about this version. Can anyone fill me in on details? Specifically the suspension and brakes?
  16. New boot day😁 forma boulder comp, size 45 first impressions are they are a lovely boot nice fit should break in nicely i bought these as I can’t feel a thing with my x-power mx boots, obviously not as protective but as far as trials boots go they seem really sturdy.
  17. Last week
  18. I know what engine I would want to hold wide open until it runs out of fuel and not expect it to burn up, it's going to be the Honda.
  19. Here's my analysis of that dyno comparison: https://www.electricmotiontech.com/home/what-makes-a-good-trials-motor/zero-loss-gearbox-anlaysis
  20. Beta has a 6-speed box. I'll let you do the calculations.
  21. Montesa 4-stroke is So much broader in the power band compared to any of the 2 smokes, there would be no keeping with it in the long run. 4T only fire on every other stroke and don't burn oil the entire time.
  22. Ok, thanks for the responses. Given that there only a limited number of long range/seat & tank kits available the options really are only Sherco, Beta, TRS.
  23. that bank sensor is already gone on my bike you do need modification to the wire loom for that This is alex ferrer's bike anyone knows where they put the ignition coil? I think this looks a lot neater that the stock bike who is full with tubes and wires everywhere and a pain to work on.
  24. Thanks for replying,👍🏻 I have mx and enduro gear I just wanted another option for practice and my local green lanes. ive just bought some trials boots as I can’t feel a thing in my mx boots haha and fancied some matching trials pants. i only potter around so mx kit always feels so over the top, although I do like to have some protection. Probably go with the Hebo pants with d30 shorts I think.
  25. What’s the best gearing for the 93 Climber? I have 10 front and 42 rear.
  26. Anyone have a parts manual to the 92,93,94 Climbers? I have the 89 manual but there is some differences. Thanks
  27. I couldn’t find any when I last looked. Most trials pants don’t even have pockets. I got some MX pants instead and have been very happy with them. They don’t have built in pads but do allow room for knee and shin pads. They also have leather patches at the knees to prevent burns from the exhaust. As far as hip pads go, you’d likely have to buy shorts with padding sewn in and wear them under your pants. They make them for mountain bikers and other active sports. There are both summer lightweight MX pants and fall/spring pants. There’s a much wider selection of MX pants out there than there are trial specific ones. Bonne chance! P.S. - If you do buy padded shorts or separate pads I’d recommend D30 type non-Newtonian liquid pads and not just foam. https://www.d3o.com/partners/solutions/ https://g-form.com/collections/baseball/products/elite-sliding-shorts
