Had a cracking day at the world round, never been able to go before but to be able to see those guys up close is amazing. The sections looked good, hard enough so even the top guys were dropping marks but you could se the talent there. The observer on the last section was getting some stick on lap 1 for 5ing everyone, but he seemed to have relaxed a little on laps 2 & 3. Thanks to all the promoters, site staff, observers etc for a job well done.

Hi all just joined the forum, not new to trials and always meant to join earlier but never did! To cut the story short i would like to congratulate Iwan Roberts in his podium first today to take the second day win! This is an unbelievable achievement from such a great rider who always showed potiential at our local trials. Seeing Iwan grow with confidence and skill while i ride has been very exciting and im sure we have more to see yet. Not forgeting his achievement at only 16 years old and his second world round in the youth class. I hope 2014 brings bigger and better oppurtunities for the young rider to one day maybe our very own champion dominating the trials scene…

Got our tickets for the World Trials Rounds on the 26th-28th July through the post today. Ends up young lads in London the week before and doesn't fly back till Friday 26th . So we have four spare tickets for Friday , now Fridays a great day brilliant to watch and get used to the sections , see the new bikes , speak to riders etc. and best off all watch them practice which is sometimes more entertaining than the trial. Price : Free to any Trials Central Supporter . Well worth going to see what can be done on a trials bike. Will post first class.

Why is it that the World Championship Website is so difficult to use and rarely is as 'up to date' as other forms of motorsport. It just seems so typical of the way trials is perceived and administered. Moto GP, World Super Bikes, Formula 1 and every other sport that is competing for the consumer interest and dollar/pound has a state of the art website with live feeds etc etc. Just a thought as the day after the Italian round, the results are not on the 'official' website.

Just reading about the new "Factory " GasGas model. Text states: "we have integrated the CDI map and light switches into a small plastic cover on each side. With this change, on the handlebars, the rider will only find indispensable components: Master cylinder and levers for the clutch and front brake, and following the FIM rules, the "dead-man" engine stop switch system." I see a nice little wrist strap hanging from the bars. As a Clubman rider I can't say one of those might have come in handy from time to time, but to make the best riders in the world wear them? What next rubber baby bumpers and training wheels? Maybe they deemed no-stop too dangerous for machi…

Fujinami had engine trouble and stalled in section 8 on third loop Sunday. He instantly restarts his bike but gets a five for non-stop. This is why I don't like non-stop. NSFW in spanish. http://www.youtube.com/embed/BkIDwnZIKbw

From: http://en.wikipedia....ld_Championship Fifty percent more British riders (6) have won the world outdoor title than Spanish riders (4). "Spanish domination"?? WHAT "Spanish domination"!? In terms of total titles, there have only been four riders in history that are better than Marc Colomer. I did not know that. So Colomer is, by that metric, better than all of these riders: -Fuji -Sammy Miller Products -LeJeune -King Bernie -The FIM trials council member from France who I don't really like right now -Vesty -Mick Andrews -Cabestany -The UK Sherco importer who really chewed out the UK GasGas importer last year on Trials Central about the Dibs/Brown issue. -…

What can be done to get the FIM to change their ridiculous new rules that handcuff trials riders (in an attempt to appease the corporate interests of the manufacturer$)? Fans not attending world rounds is one idea. Your ideas?

Stop to masterfully catch your balance, giving the crowd a thrill?....why that's arguably worse than an Endurocross rider doing that (think about that - one "five" and a trials rider can drop a few places in the standings, but an Endurocross rider who stops dead or just a split-second would hardly ever drop in the standings, of course.) Use all the skills you possess to jump the bike magically sideways 3 times, to heroically save a dab?....fugetaboutit! MotoGP riders can't do that, so why should we let YOU? We WANT to take the sport back to the 1960's, when nobody had all these fancy-shmancy "skills" they have today. "Evolution of the sport"?....we certainly don't want …

Surely they will not place this outdoor No Stop madness ruling on indoor stadium trials? If they did then I cant imagine an indoor trial with no stopping allowed. The indoor sections would be dramatically different than today. If they apply the no stop ruling to indoor trials then I can see a dramatic shift back ot the way things used to be when stadium trials became popular. There was riders who proved to be good stadium trick riders and those who rode better outdoors in natural terrain. How can a rider hone his razor sharp indoor trick skills for hop and bop indoor and then change mind set for no hop and bop outdoor trial? An indoor trial on a Wednesday night an…

I just want to say how great it was to have 1979 World Champ Bernie Scheriber visit the USGP this past weekend at the TTC. The response from the public was amazing. People lined up for 2 hours to get an autograpgh and to meet the man. Bernie was very gracious and took time to speak with everyone.Throughout the weekend Bernie could not walk far without meeting a fan. People brought their scrapbooks and photo albums to show Bernie and to get them signed. I am sure that everyone that met Bernie this weekend now has a story to tell. Bernie wanted his visit to benefit the US TdN team so all proceeds from the book signing, t shirt and poster sales went to support Team USA. The …
