Dani oliveras is 17, his birthday is in November when he will be 18. Having won the youthWTC for Gas Gas he decided to ride the junior WTC at Hawkstone. Who gave him permission to do that? You are supposed to be 18 to compete and he clearly is not. Patrick Smage (USA) apparently asked if he could ride in the Youth wtc in the Duluth round and was told, "rules are rules, no". Alexz Wigg asked if he could do the same and ride at Hawkstone in the Youth WTC, coincidentally his birthday is exactly the same as Dani's only he is 2 years younger, he was told "rules are rules, no". Is that fair?

Noboby has mentioned the comments made by I think it was Sam Connor and relayed by Jack Burnicle. That is that Hawkstone was a challenging, difficult trial but UNLIKE some recent rounds he didn't feel he was risking his life doing it! Looking at the injuries in some of the preceeding rounds and the fact riders did crash out at Hawkstone but did not have the severity of the previous rounds it does look bad for the rounds concerned. Did anyboy who went feel they were that bad??? Also Watching the riders thru a couple of sections with their minders I was surprised how agitated Raga's Minders were compared to everybody else's.

125 Youth Cup world champion Daniel Oliveras took second place in his first Jr World Round attempt. Can anyone now say this 125 class isn't worthy of developing young riders at the highest level? Way to go Dani!

Ok , only been back from me jollys 3 days and cant wait to get a weekend off from family duties to go to hawkstone , hands up who is going !

As dougies contract is up for renewal I think, will he be on a Mont next year?

As per title. "We" (read, my wife) have made an executive decision to stay in a cosy hotel with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, etc. etc. on the Saturday night....... ...so have a camping pass up for grabs. which trials dealers/importers will be at hawkstone??

Might have an opportunity to go to the Belgian WTC round in Sept. Anyone know where I might be able to get specifics as to exact location, etc.? Thanks for any info.

Reading a report of the trial there seems to be a great deal of praise for the courage and determination shown by Dougie in completing day 2 of the French Round. Which was contrary to Doctors advice. He even went on the clean the section were he had his serious crash. Much to the delight of the crowd. It even describes Doug as special and not from this planet. He is special and he isn't from this planet. He's from Yorkshire. What a bloke?

I am hoping to get to the Hawkstone world round this year but I can only get for one day! So which day would you reccomend I go? Is sunday best?

Outside of the World Indoor's and SSDT, very few events draw the excitement/buzz/hype of the Duluth World Round. Looking at the threads on TC forum, we have been chatting about this event since mid-May.. Let's hear some theories why? The theory that Andy and Kinell were in attendance doesn't count. They didn't attend in 2004 and this event had the same buzz.

I think I just watched the best world round I have seen, ten out of ten for all involved, I want to come back and see another at Duluth, what the organizers must have been through before and during the event must of been overwhelming, but they produced a cracker. The majority of sections could be ridden without a catcher and minder in the section and they were not allowed in, lower ranked riders could get through sections for a three as well as the top ranked riders so the high scoring event compared to today's standards didn't have such a big gap in scores, very tough sections but those with determination got through with hard earned three's instead of fives at the firs…
