are we going to get a report on the action on day two at duluth, like we have had with all the other rounds? how was it, was it pretty much one sided? or was it a close battle between the top 5 or 6? where does that leave the series standings?

While hopping may not win a trial, I have to admit that I'm pretty darn inspired from watching the video Andy took of Freixa working his way around that rock on the rear wheel during practice. I counted 12 hops all on the rear wheel. Wow!!! Mike

Here are a few photos Bill Smage sent me. This is a group photo of the observers and riders making the call to close the bottom sections for the second loop on Sunday.

How pleasing it is to see Dougie back on the top of the podium, following a fantastic win on the first day of the USA World Round. In what was terrible conditions. It just goes to prove theres more to trials than grippy rocks. Fingers crossed he can do it on day 2. It is also good to see Grimbo challenging for a podium spot.

Five years and nine of the ten days going to Montesa, and one to jarvis on Sherco. Can Raga WIN!! if he can and repeat in the US, I think he will claim the world championship. On form the two strokes are doing better, next year may be a different tale? no more excuses time to produce the goods.

A few cool modifications I noticed whilst having a browse over the bikes at the WTC in Potugal and Spain, if anyone's interested. There's probably a shed load of stuff you cant see as well. Gas Gas Raga's bike had a reduced cappacity flat fuel tank. Raga's had a longer front pipe on. All WTC bikes had the magnesium alloy crank cases. Raga's had clear handlebar grips with the Gas Gas logo underneath, very cool! Carbon fibre front lights. Raga's frame looked to be a slightly different shape too, but not 100% sure on that one. Beta Kenny had some very nice Michelin fork protectors with like a burnt/scorched effect near the bottom. James Dabill's had black yokes a…

Like everybody else I have been watching the Indoor Championship and also the Team Reports. - What a lot of you no what ! - Lets face it - Honda who own Montesa, made the decision to go with 4 strokes. - It was their choice to do that. - They can call it what they they want - a brave new move or whatever. - The fact remains that when you enter any competition you read the regulations and enter your best. While I have the greatest respect for Dougie Lampkin, I think it's time to recognise that we have a changing of the guard - especially at the Indoor venues. - Look at the performance by young Toni Bou - I also happen to think that 2 strokes will be around for a long tim…

The Tarragona event in all respects looks to be one of the most scenic city settings for a outdoor world trials event I have seen. Boat watching the event from sea. The sections set up all in the city... including a Roman Coliseum, fantastic. As my screen name implies, ah, what a great City Trials.
