World Championship Chat

After listening to Dougies and Fuji's video clip and their response to no-stop for the WCT I wondered who would really gain an advantage with the no-stop rule? A four-stroke rider or a two-stroke rider. I know the reasoning would be to ease up on the sections, but how much? If a rider can't stop forward motion who really has the advantage on a world champ type large step? Is no-stop really in the cards for 06?

With TMX saying that Freixa goes to Scorpa next year, that leaves Doug and Fuji at HRC mont. Now bit hypothetical I know but, big but, if you wanted to get the WTC championship back (assumes Raga wins aswell!) would you want the above mentioned or would the departure of one of DL or Fuji give funds to have say Bou and Fajardo for example. Again if doug goes where would he go to? Then theres Caby at Sherco he's done well and would a Fajardo or bou move be a good thing?

Hi people I'm off to Spa this weekend to have a gander at Mr Raga and co. Does anyone have any ideas where to look for information about the trial? Ive been to the Spa website and the FIM and World trials sites but theres not a lot of info re: how to get to the sections/ where will the paddock area be etc etc- or is it normally a case of turn up and find your own way around? Any help much appreciated! Adam

Hi All, Just a hypothetical to fill a long boring night shift. We've reached the end of the season and one of the things that has struck me is number of times Andy has talked about the "man-made" element of outdoor trials and the severity of them, pushing the GPs to a "circus-like" trial. These bikes will do anything so where is the limit. The stuff is great to watch but it's great to watch the best riders in the world compete on any terrain What would we, the trials riders/afficionados of the world like to see in the championship in terms of rules, time limits, the nature of the sections that sort of stuff. Personal view; go back to no-stop, all sections in the World…

Does any body know when the next wtc is on television?????

Now fair enough I'm not an Adam Raga fan, but credit where credit is due. This seasons he has won both the indoor and outdoor WTC. Some achievement however you look at it. I think it a little unfair that this event did not even warrant a mention on the front cover of T&MX September 8th 2005 Edition. Are T&MX saving up trials articles for the TrialsWorld Magazine? Which incidently I like.

The most important battle seen in Belgium since 1815. The runner up spot for the 2005 WTC. Whereas Waterloo was a 3 way battle between the British, Prussians and the French. This months epic encounter features the British, Japanese and Spanish. Following the crash in France Doug showed remarkably courage and determination to finish day 1 and ride day 2, against medical advise. He knew then, that the points would matter. Doug's never give up attitude will prevail and he will still be wearing the No 2 next season. Fujigas has already dropped at least one place in the World rankings. Credit where its due, for whatever reason Raga has won the WTC fair and square and seems to be set nicely for a few years yet. Next year will be good as the youngsters are hot on his heels.

As much as I don't want to say it the maths are stacking up against our Doug, six rounds left and he's 24 points down on Raga, fuji is 21. Its surely a 2 way thing between the top two Spaniards now isn't it? When (if ever) has there been a Spanish top 5 in the WTC??? End of an era hastened by the poor performance of the 4rt? Where would Doug Fuji and Frexia be if they were 315 mounted?

Just booked up for the trip to Germany in September. The final last 2 day World Round., This could be the big decider? Can't wait....

Reading news reports, the south of Germany is having some real flooding, anyone know if this is in the same area as the Gefrees two day world round

Is it true that the FIM have indefinitely suspended the compulsory introduction of 4 strokes bikes?

Are there any dates for next years Indoor WTC available yet. I noticed Dougie's hospitality advertised and wondered if the date of the Sheffield round has been decided. I am back in the old country over Christmas and was hoping that I may catch the Sheffield round.

Some are a bit blurry and dark, it was tricky to get a good picture on "auto" must learn how to use the camera at some point. I've got a couple of short video clips but nowhere to upload them - unless someone can host them for me? I thought the whole weekend was superb despite getting dragged off shopping on Saturday afternoon. Sorry not to have made it to the tent guys, it sounds like it was quite a night. Roy.
