The end of season race was a cracker for those that missed it. Lorenzo showed he was really the champion this year. Taking the lead of Stoner was pure ability, but do feel Stoner was held back by the limitations of his setup (too harder rear tyre spinning up?). Rossi was just had to hang on to 3rd, nothing more he could do, different set up to Lorenzo? Great challenge by Simoncelli, and place by Spies. Cat wait to next year with all the new seat changes. I see red next year, I think Rossi will still be at the pointy end, but not without some renewed competition. What do you think?

  4. Under new tyre regulations and with an 800c capacity limit MotoGP 2007 got underway at a sunny Losail circuit with a pole for Valentino Rossi (Yamaha), second place on the grid for Casey Stoner (Ducati) with the final front row slot going to Colin Edwards (Yamaha). With an ambient temperature of a modest 23 degrees, and with the track at 27 degrees, conditions were ripe for riders to make the most of this benign weather. They ripped around this 5.4km track without suffering the customary privations of heat exhaustion when this race was held in October here in the Qatar desert. The circuit was also relatively dust free owing to the Superbike race …

French Grand Prix at Le Mans Sunday May 20, 2007 MELANDRI COLLECTS USEFUL POINTS HAUL IN DELUGE This was a rain-sodden MotoGP showdown that put nerve and skill at a premium and it was Chris Vermeulen (Suzuki) who showed the required credentials to win from Marco Melandri (Gresini Honda RC212V) with Casey Stoner (Ducati) third. With rain threatening, the lights on the grid went out and a crowd of 74,000 watched with some trepidation as the field barreled into turn one with specks of moisture dotting the competitors

  6. Finally after Mondays advertised showing was cancelled, saw the programme yesterday Tuesday. Marc Marquez high-sided after a tremendous push through the pack after taking to the kitty litter big time when leading. It was a miracle he managed to stay upright and rejoin near the back of the pack, so then he proceeds to demolish everyone and fight back to second only to get caught out by himself (tyres were an issue for many riders) a wobble, a twitch and then the kick and way up goes Marc to land on the sand but then gets punted by his bike. After flailing about and rolling a few times his right arm looked to be in a right state. The bike was trashed and Marc looked to be i…

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC211V) scored a convincing win here at Donington Park to notch his second victory in his rookie year and put himself firmly in the hunt for the World Championship. Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) was second and Marco Melandri (Fortuna Honda RC211V) third. In bright sunshine, despite a vicious rain shower on the morning of the race at 7:00am, riders lined up for 30-laps of this sweeping 4.023km track. And it was Melandri from third on the grid who led into Redgate on lap one with Pedrosa on his tail and Casey Stoner (LCR Honda RC211V) up with them in third. As the field negotiated that crucial first lap, John Hopkins (Suzuki) relieved Stoner of thi…

French Grand Prix at Le Mans 18, 19 and 20 May 2007 DANI GOING ALL OUT TO REPEAT HISTORY IN FRANCE The MotoGP season now enters its most intense phase with seven races over the next ten weeks and no one will be more focused on getting the most out of this gruelling period of racing than Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V). Dani has triumphed here at Le Mans on a 125cc machine in 2003 and the Spanish idol achieved two 250cc wins at the Bugatti circuit in 2004 and 2005. He also set the pole position here with a lap time of 1m 33.990 seconds in his debut MotoGP season and will be looking to achieve even more this weekend as he starts his 100th Grand Pr…

HONDA RACING INFORMATION Catalan Grand Prix at Montmelo 8, 9 and 10 June 2007 DANI AIMING HIGH AT HOME AFTER SECOND IN ITALY The MotoGP circus hits Catalonia this weekend and riders will be hoping there is no repeat of the turn one incident last year that not only caused race havoc, but also compromised the seasons of two World Championship contenders. And Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) was one of those affected. The 21-year-old Spanish star knows his hopes for a first race win of the season are more than realistic here. Italian Grand Prix at Mugello Sunday June 3, 2007 Crowd figures: race day 85,000, weekend total 128,000. Weather: Morning overcast, afternoon sunny. Temperature: 24 degrees. DANI PEDROSA RIDES HARD FOR SECOND AS ROSSI WINS IN ITALY What promised to be a barnstormer of a MotoGP race in the earlier stages of this 23-lap race proved to be ultimately less tight than imagined as Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) led Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V) to the flag with Alex Barros (Ducati) third. With a capacity crowd of 85,000 enjoying sunshine after rain threatened to appear but held off, the field left the line in a blur of noise and colour to begin one of the more…
