hi do any of you canadian trials riders know a guy called bob manifold , he left england many years ago , i believe he has the first works fantic trials outfit that i built for the factory , i would love to talk to him sometime and maybe visit and arrange a ride before i get to old , also do you have a sidecar class in your trials , if not why not . many thanks . will hawkes.

Just saw an ad on discovery channel saying there will be trials riding on the "Daily Planet" TV show tomorrow. Not sure who they will have on but nice to see some main stream coverage of the sport.

As per the press release posted by the CMA, our National Sanctioning body, this years Canadian Trials Championships have been awarded to Saskatchewan and the FLTA and will be held Aug 20/21 in the small town of Bengough. It is going to be a very unique event and one that should not be missed by riders in Canada who want to experience that " European" feel without leaving the country! The entire town of Bengough will act as host to this event with many activities and festivities planned, including beer gardens for spectators, and a dinner planned for riders and workers. It's a significant event as it also celebrates the 67th running of this prestigious Championship…

Applications are being accepted to host rounds of the WTC Canadian Championship for 2013 - so far one round in Vancouver has been confirmed for July (2day), while two others are pending.

So I have come to find out that owning a 2003 sy 250 scorpa in Canada has it's challenges...I know that (from what i have read) the sy is good all around reliable bike and I am thoroughly enjoying its rideability and ample power (for my novice riding skills) Here'e the question...If and when the time comes...where can I a) find parts, like for example clutch components... b)fenders, fasteners, fork seals etc... I have recently placed and received an order from "the tryals shop" and i must say I was impressed with their service and speedy shipping.. (dutie fees sucked though) I was able to get some "consumables" like, levers,grips, adjusters...etc. I guess i'm more or l…

We had a great training day with Jonathan English on the 12th followed by our Drive to Ride event on the 13th. since there is no TdN team this year the funds we raised for the TdN team will be put aside until Canada participates again (hopefully next year). I see that there are Four Canadian riders in the SSDT this year, the largest contingent for quite a while. - The best known of these is Stan Bakgaard, who last rode the event in 1984 finishing 13th on a TY 250. - Stan will be mounted on a Sherco for this year's Trial.

The 28th running of the WTC Sanctioned Two Day Outlaw Trial took place at Scotch Creek. BC - on the May long weekend - The Shuswap riders did an excellent job of setting up a variety of sections for all classes, plus put on a big BBQ on both Saturday and Sunday nights. - With an entry of 40 riders each day, plus a kids Trial on the Saturday evening, the event was once again a huge success. In the Expert class, it was an all Beta podium, with Brandon Wince of Kelowna taking the win, over our new transplanted Aussi, Sam King, and Sean Bird - a former CMA Champion, making a welcome return to the sport.
