  1. TXT PRO 200 on an '06. On the stand without the engine running I can get all gears up & down the box if I rock the rear wheel forwards & back and change by hand. The gear lever does not spring back to a neutral position tho it has to be returned by hand. That is to say if i put it up to 2nd the lever stays up. While riding the bike I can shift up from 1st to 2nd sometimes 3rd but try going down the box I've no idea what gear im in. It wont 'snick' into gear either up or down. I've bled the clutch, there's no drag and there's a bit of free play at the lever end so I'm pretty sure that is ok. New gearbox oil in. I've watched Jim Snell's video about …

  3. II said in another thread here on the forum that my 2005 TXT 125 Pro have been standing unused for a long time. I have drained out the old fuel of the fuel tank and carburetor. Put in fresh 2% mix fuel I have cleaned the air filter box, washed, dried and oiled the air filter and installed a new NGK BPR5ES spark plug Earlier today i tried to start the bike. The first thing i did was to check tthe spark and the spark looks good I opened the fuel tap, put on the choke and stepped on the kick start lever for about 30 times with no other result that the kick start seemed to stop/lock up like the piston stuck I put the bike in gear and pushed i fo…

  4. I have cleaned the air filter on my 05 Gas Gas TXT 125 Pro and i use air filter Putoline oil in a spray can I was thinking of only spraying oil on the outside of the air filter and put on a little grease on the end of the filter for a proper seal I did a search on the net where one did soak the hole foam air filter in a bucket of oil.Note that this was done at a trial/enduro bike shop That must be to much oil in tne filter even if you push out most og it? My question is when using air filter oil on a spray can, do you only spray oil on the outside of the filter or fo you also oile the inside og the filter?

Looking to replace the dellorto carb on my 2009 TXT 250 with a Keihin and have everything I need except the carb at this point. Is there a specific make/model/year bike that came with a 28 pwk I should be using in my ebay or Craigslist search? Right now I'm looking for a genuine Keihin vs OKO. For example this one is off a 2009 Kx100 and looks like it will work (idle/air screw on correct side) with some slight modifications (float bowl drain bung will need to be plugged/removed). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-KX100-KX-100-KX85-85-Carb-and-Throttle-carburetor-PWK-Keihin-28mm-MINT/202650648570?epid=1111815172andhash=item2f2eeb7ffa:g:Pc0AAOSwqT9crgHa I th…

  7. My 2005 Gas Gas TXT 125 Pro have been standing in the basement unused for a long time. I have replaced the petrol with fresh 2% fuel, greased all "grease" points, cleaned the chain (that was really dirty) and off course cleaned the bike. There is one thing on these bikes that bothers me and that is the fact that the travel of the kick start is so short and the pedal also stops in the foot peg. on this TXT 125 pro. I have not cleaned the air filter so i will clean the air filter and respray it with the ptoper "oil" and also put in a new NGK BPR5ES spark plug Anything i have not thought of? I will off course change the oil but i thought i would …

Hi all, I recently purchased a gasgas txt 125 for my son. When I purchased the bike the clutch was stiff. I removed the plates cleaned lightly sanded and re-installed. Initially it seamed the problem was solved but after a hour or so of ring the clutch has started riding. I've tried adjust the adjustment screw but I cannot get the clutch to fully engage. I am considering changing the clutch plates but I thought if the clutch plates were too work the clutch would slip and not drag. Can anyone pleaee offer some advice? Many thanks Pete

Hi all Next problem .... Clutch cover recently wore through at the very bottom (see first pic) Replaced with new one and rode it once and the water pump seal failed and dumped water into gear box. Pulled brand new cover off and found this significant pitting/corrosion at the very bottom (see 2nd pic) What's going on ??? There are no metal bits floating around in there. Magnetic plugs clean. Could the oil/water mix be corrosive enough to cause this ??? And, why on God's earth does GG paint the inside of these covers ??? The paint just peels off with obvious undesireable results !!!

Hi, my bike won’t start after replacing the woodruff key due it previously shearing, I’m not 100% sure if it’s sticking out enough to slot into the flywheel snuggly, I have a strong spark and fuel supply is fine, cleaned the carb as well just to make sure. Occasionally get a back fire as well. what would be the next step to take? I’m thinking CDI may have gone at the same time the woodruff key went but not entirely sure and would be massively coincindental... all help is appreciated. Thanks will upload a pic of woodruff key tomorrow for you all to see.
