Gas Gas

  1. Hey guys! First post here.. The boys txt pro 125 was spitting coolant a bit today! Fan wasn't running, so I gave the fan a flick and off she goes! Ran as it should. We did a few stops/starts to see if the fan would initiate on its own, and it did about 50% of the time and the other 50% a small flick got the fan running right away. I put 12v to the fan, and it wouldn't start on its own every time.. But a flick gets er goin every time. Seems the thermostat works, and when you get the fan going it spins nice and quick. The fan does have a little noise to it when trying to start though. Am I correct in thinking the fan is packing it in? Thanks!

  2. Looking for some advice new to trials and bikes.. Gear box sight glass has white oil (full) on checking my fluids the radiator was empty guessing it's mixed somehow is there an obvious place to start looking thanks in advance. Only had the bike 4 days

hi, just bought a 09 gas gas txt 250 pro and it is already partly road legal, its got headlight, horn and tail light. ive already managed to get the brake light working when the pedal or lever is pressed but I'm having trouble with the indicators. Around the headlight theres 2 earths and 2 coloured wires for the front indicators (green and brown) and at the rear there is just the 2 coloured wires for the indicators (again green and brown) il take an earth off the frame for these. The problem is that theres also another 3 wires at the rear (red, white, blue) which I crimped connectors onto, this originates from the switch at the handlebars and the dash light , I thought …

HI I was wondering if any of you had difficulties with spark plugs in GG 80 cc Racing 2018? I go through them quite often - sometimes every 2 hrs. Bikes runs great but spark plugs have tendency to die prematurely. Those sparks have rather dark colour that suggest rich mix, unfortunately carburetor has only front adjustment screw (at manifold ) for gas ratio only and not oxygen one. I run 91 Octane gas (only this is available here) 75:1 mix ratio at 800-900 above sea level - 2400feet. I am considering to get aviation fuel 100 octane, NGK BPR5ES. Kids are not reving this bikes at full throttle - this could be an issue too. I try to drop main needle and open gas …

  7. Hi! Got an old TXT some months ago in a bit ,,tired'' condition, but now it is almost perfect. Only one thing left - I noticed that clutch was slipping, when I was buying it. But the Owner said that Clutch disks were replaced recently. After measuring the clutch pack it gave me around 9.9mm. Clutch disks were looking good too. I cleaned everything and put together. My guess was that previous owner used bad motor oil. So according to 2007 GG manual I put 550Ml of a good motoroil ( in my case Motorex CrossPower 10-50W). Now the clutch goes better - it is light on the lever, but still slips on 4th gear.. But it feels a bit better than it was before. Recently I…

I have a 2014 300 Pro Racing and last week I tried the clutch action on a 2019 300. It was soooo much lighter! Seems they have a thinner spring which I guess is the reason it's so light. Also has the adjustable clutch. Anyone know if there are any other differences and if it's possible to change my 2014 clutch to be the same as the 2019? I have arm issues (compartment syndrome) and the lighter the lever action the better for me. Thanks.

I've got a friend who does suspensions here in the states and took on the rebuild of a set of 40mm Marzocci's off a 2012 txt pro. Somehow he managed to snap off the flat blade screwdriver end of the aluminum insert at the end of the compression damping rod. He was unable to find a replacement here in the States and asked me about it as I ride trials. Last time I called Marzocci USA about parts for my 2014 GG enduro they were of no help and soon to discontinue supplying forks and parts for dirtbikes. Anyone out there have a good source for replacing that damping rod? Thanks in advance.

hi everyone. I've just fitted a new back brake pipe on my 2012 gasgas txt pro. I've been bleeding the brake. you know. the usual undo, push, tighten, release method. after an hour or two of doin this the fluid stopped going down in the reservoir and no bubbles were coming out, and when i released the nipple, and pushed down on the Lever, fluid started to come out of the nipple and still no back brake is working. this is my first time bleeding brakes. any suggestions?

  14. Started by Gassertxt250,

So I just recently got a 2014 TXT 250 Pro racing. It had a smart carb on it when I got it but didn’t run (was admitted to sitting for yr or two). I cleaned the carb and the tank but still no luck. So I ended up getting a stock carb for it. When I put it in, the bike started right up first kick but smoked like hell and was super loaded up very very rich. After taking it down the road and back, the silencer was still smoking even after the bike was off for a few minutes. I took out the 50:1 and put in 80 to 1 Amsoil dominator mix. Same issue, except this time it stalled out down the road. I put a new plug in it and it didn’t seem to even try to start. So it seems to be way…

  15. Hello all I realized this weekend that my 280 was missing the nut from the front motor mount - according to the exploded diagram, and the image I was able to find, the "special M10 nut" is indeed a unique design. I'm wondering if anyone has ever just used a regular lock nut and washer combo? Perhaps you'd have to get a slightly longer bolt? Looks like there are two "special" M10 nuts - the regular, and the 1,5 that is for the rear engine mount Secondly - does anyone sell (or had anyone here put together) a hardware pack of the most used fasteners? Lastly - my spark plug wire is pretty loose on the plug - is there anything special about the design, or can it…

Found a bike that was cooked and needs a full rebuild. Do we think it would be worth saving? Are parts hard to find? It hasn't moved in 8 years. Still rolls and brakes. Clutch ain't working. No compression. I'm told it was an awesome bike. I think he would take £4 or 500

So is this the beginning of the end for GG UK as we know (have known) it? with Price signing for Vertigo, Thorpe seemingly moving on, Haslam riding Montesa it’s doesn’t look like GG UK will remain for long and it will amalgamate in to KTM UK (makes sense, why would KTM need a UK GG importer?) but seems a shame that any supported riders are having to look elsewhere. is there anything remotely official from GG UK or KTM about what’s happening?

  20. Hi all, just recently got a 250 pro 2011 and the power delivery is very sudden, the bikes not done much from new, original chain sprockets ,tyres etc. Gearing is 10/41 map is set in rain mode, slow action throttle fitted. I have a 2013 300 sherco which is a lot smoother to ride and I’m really surprised how bad the gasser is! Any thoughts? Maybe jetting or needle position? cheers john.
