Gas Gas

Just picked up a 2017 300 which runs very nicely aside from the fan coming on within a few minutes of starting. The weather is very hot here at the moment, but the bike doesn't seem to be hot enough for the fan to come on. Once on the fan also speeds up when I rev the bike, then cuts out only to come back on a few seconds later. Never had a Gasser before, is this normal? Or could I have a dodgy switch? HI , apologies for the long story! couple of issues i think maybe related. i have searched but cant find the answers to get to the root, 1996 jtx 270- (kukosan wiring)- few electrical issues that i was looking to try rectify! first off bike had no accessory ie horn light working- but noticed on idle when hot the fan would kick in and out as you would expect, checking the ac voltage supply (yellow from stator) i had 14.5 ac on idle but on full throttle i had 87 volts so firstly i replaced voltage regulator (L30031 oem ) with an ebay purchase , this seemed to steady output and i was able to get lights working all though flickering with revs as you would accept. …

Best fuel for 2014 txt gas gas

Hi all, I recently had to get a new rear brake caliper for my 2017 Gasser. However, after hours of trying I can't get it to bleed to a sufficient level to actually work when riding. I also changed the disc at the same time as it was cracked It has enough bite to hold the wheel on the stand, but not when riding down a bank. I've replaced the seals in the master cylinder too, tried all the syringing methods, adjusted the position of the pumping arm on the brake lever bit nothing. I'm wondering if as I've got new pads and disc whether it just needs to bed in, or if the pads could be ruined as there was a lot of brake fluid getting spilt! …

I need to replace the lower fork clamp on my 2014 Racing GasGas. So, how do i do it and what tools do I need? Is it going to be one of those 'harder than it looks jobs'? Many thanks.

Hello, I’ve recently acquired a GasGas 280 pro 2004. The bike has been dry stored for for several years, so needs some engine work which is beyond my spanner skills. Could anyone recommend a mechanic in the West Yorkshire area? Many thanks Paul.

Hi All I recently bought a gas gas Txt 50 for my son starts and stops as it should but seems to be lacking power I have checked the clutch doesn’t seem to be badly scone Do you think this could be through bad.. gear oil ??

Having fixed my fork yokes and replaced head bearings etc, I went to put everything back and have hit an issue. I ordered a new top nut as the previous owner had severely damaged the old one. However, despite being the correct GasGas part and having now ordered 2 from different places, the top nut is wrong. Basically it's about 2mm longer than the one that came out which means it hits the retaining nut before it tightens down onto the upper fork yoke. I've taken a photo side by side with old versus new so you can see. I've measured the space between the retaining nut and the top yoke and it's about 15mm so there's no way the new nut can work and there's nothing …

Does anyone know the sizes of the bolts on the rear caliper? I need the bolt that holds the caliper onto the frame. It's siezed and before I drill it out I want to have the replacement bolt.

Hi all, My son has a 2009 gas gas 125 txt pro , last time sewers out of ran fine, just changed gearbox oil,ready for tomorrow started it up ,and it has a knocking sound which when clutch lever is pulled in stops, also when put into gear stalls ( drag??) Any ideas Thanks Paul

Having bought a gas gas txt 300 2004 my first problem was a mid box and end pipe now today's problems my kickstart and spindle pull out half inch and back but today I kicked it it made a horrible grinding noise like it would if I pushed the kick down why running I immediately kicked it in the half inch and it went secondly my tank had a normal screw with a bolt on the other end you could only imagine how difficult that was to get of with zearo room I'm gonna buy the proper screw but I'm missing the bracket under the tank I'm not sure what there called as it's just a hole any info on the 2 situations would be brilliant I'm at a horrible stage we're I've bought the bike a…

Hello, recently i bougth a Gas Gas 280 TXT Pro 2002. At first it work well, but then, it loses oil the left crankcase. Morover, he lose oil crankshaft seal in to the engine, so the compression pass to the gerabox. My cuestion is, its posible put the crankcase to the other year? What year is compatible? The referency is : MT280210000 Can i put for example the MT280310000 Sorry for my inglish, if you don't understand something teld me.

I'm at work for another week yet and can't open GasGas UKs Manuals as the security protacols wont let the page come up. I'm on nights as well. So,has anyone got all the gearbox bearing and seal dimention numbers ( not the GasGas part numbers ) please so i can order them while i'm here ? Thanks in anticipation.

Hi all I'm new to trials bikes, I have bought what I believe to be a 1999 GasGas JTX 250, I would like to know is there any way to excatly identify what year or model it is as i would like to buy some parts and other bits and pieces in case of emergency, I would also like to be pointed in the direction of a service manual or owner's manual (electronic copy preferred) or even if I could get service information, Really enjoying trials riding (made the switch from circuit for now till things settle) Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks ?

Hi guys, anyone know where to get a 1.8mm steel clutch plate for gas gas 250 txt 2014. I can only find 2mm or 1.6mm and I could do with something in between. any help appreciated cheers, Gareth

So i thought my new to me gasgas had a problem with the carb but ive checked it out and reset it perfectly. The bike runs spot on for about 20 mins and then starts misfiring and pinking. Guessing the fault is electrical, Any ideas?
