I’m looking for help please. Our 2001 Txt 50 boy needs new electrics. The original stator and rotor are missing. It’s been at the back of the shed for at least 12 years and I can not remember what happened to them. The electrics had packed up at that time. The bike has strong family history and would love to get it going again. Is there an alternative to the original setup? Any help with this would be gratefully received.

Looking at purchasing a new GasGas TXT 250 and was wondering if anybody could tell me the major differences between the 2020 model year and the 2021 model year. I can pick up a brand new 2020 at a discounted price, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything big on waiting a month and picking up the 2021 model year for a little extra cash. My dealer didn't have much info so I was hoping you gents could help out!!! Much appreciated!! It's not that I'm likely to notice the difference anyways as I am a fairly novice rider to begin with, but now that KTM is in charge I was curious to see if they may have improved any parts to concern reliability. Th…

New to this forum and new to trials bikes. I have a 2001 280 that I cant get the clutch to work, the bikes walks or actually runs away. When I bled the lines very little oil comes out with each pull on the clutch lever. I cant seem to fine any replacement parts for the clutch either. Any suggestions for parts?

Standard spark plug on my 95 bike is a 5. But looks like a previous owner has put a 6 plug in it. Any obvious reasons for this, or would it just be a mistake.

Fan seems to be kicking in a bit more often than I remember on my bike (been a few years). Would this be a sign of a head gasket on the way out? Not boiling or emptying the rad, but the inside of the rad cap looks a bit dirty.

  10. First post here on trialscentral forum. So bike is new, a 2021 TXT Racing 300. This is the first trials bike I have owned. Having a lot of fun on it already. However, very disappointed to find that the kick starter fouls at end of travel with the foot peg. In first 2 days of riding, kick starter has significant gouges and foot peg shows contact as well. Apparently this must be an engineering design shortcoming (or necessary evil) due to need to locate the foot peg in travel path of the kick starter at its final down stroke. If this is considered "normal", then I suspect the kick start internals (bushings/seals/gears) will eventually suffer premature failure du…

Hello all, what are your opinions on how I should fix this issue? 2017 GG with around 400 hours and stock skid plate didn't protect base of footpeg mount so material was scraped off. Now I'm getting concerned as the hole for the footpeg bolt is dangerously close to the "edge" of the mount on both pegs. Another rider in our club said he could weld some "material" to the base to build the mount back up. I think that is the best option right now since I don't think GasGas sells a replacement footpeg mount. Your thoughts?

I have a gas gas txt pro I recently baught and I was told to clean the carb when I got it which I did. I went to put the carb back on and noticed it wouldn’t properly attached to the air box and now the bike isles perfect but when I give it throttle fast it bogs. Is this because there is too much air getting to the carb as the air box won’t attach or do I am have another problem

I'm sorry for asking but I'm a bit lost and usual methods of getting answers aren't working... I've recently bought a heap of a 2001 250 TXT (eBay, and yes, I should've walked away) and last week removed the cracked, nasty rear tyre. I couldn't get the bead off on one side so ended up cutting it off. It was a Barum tyre with innertube, but I thought it odd no rim lock? So question 1- In 2001 did the TXT have tube front & tubeless rear? Question 2- the rim is nasty and corroded inside. Could this be a reason for running a tube (because it wasn't sealing well?) Question 3- if it's a tubeless rim but I choose to run a tube, is i…

Can anyone tell me what the clutch finger height spec is for the 2019 and newer gg pro require. I found a spec for pack thickness, which at 9.9-10.02 mm is slightly thicker than previous. My 20 clutch has become harder to pull and would like to restore the easy pull it did have. Thanks in advance! Absolutely loving the mighty GG

Does anyone know roughly when the GP models have been released in previous years? Or have any info on when the 2021 models will be released? I am looking at getting a Racing 300 but would rather have a GP if they are coming early part of the new year. John Shirt didn't have any info!

I have just replaced my water pump impellor, seal etc and on putting it back together found that the longest bottom bolt couldn't catch a thread, closer look showed the bolt thread slightly stripped. New set of bolts ordered but when they arrived I was gutted to find that the bottom bolt still wouldn't grip and one other bolt started but only to strip after getting slightly tight. I can only assume that the casing thread has been stripped. Has anyone else had this and how did you fix it? I have heard of HeliCoils but haven't used them, don't know if they come that small and can be fitted easily (if at all) Pretty disappointing stage of an otherwise successful rebuild! …
