I've got a 2017 GasGas Contact, and I need to check out the top end after a cold seizure (different story / post 😔). I've found a service manual with information on disassembling the motor, but it doesn't include steps to remove the motor from the frame. I'm relatively comfortable working on bikes, but I though I would check if anyone has some tips / gotchas or even a manual as that may save me some headaches :) Are there any parts that need to be replaced when removing the motor from the frame? Thank you!

I have a JTR for which I need to remove the Ducati flywheel. Is it safe to use a slide hammer under the edge of the flywheel or will it only release with a threaded puller such as the Buzzetti?. Any thoughts?.

Hi guys new here so hope this is posted in he correct place. I have a 2010 gas gas txt pro. Not the usual drag issue lol quite the opposite. The point I which the clutch engages / bites is literally as I am about to release the leaver. I have put a new clutch in but this did not fix it . I measured the clutch pack and it was 9.8mm bang on before it went in. But when I check the finger height it measures 14.8mm in which should be at 17.5 here or there ? I'm sure this is why it bites right when all pressure is about to be released on the master cylinder. I have a 2017 txt 250 and been searching for a rear disc guard but they seem to be on back order everywhere. It does NOT look like the new style disc guard will bolt up. Anyone know the bare minimum components I would need to buy to make it fit? The old part # is BT57050R3009 The new part # is BT57050GG-CPR-1

I know, incredibly broad question so I'll elaborate: The forks on my 2001 TXT are in a bad way and probably beyond saving. Would forks from any other bikes be suitable? (So 38mm, correct length and compatible with existing front wheel + caliper?). I've read that Paoili 38mm were also fitted on Sherco and Beta, so could examples from those bikes fit? Cheers!

Hi Folks, Any idea what a 20 year old Gasgas 280 is worth now? Assuming everything working on it. Did they have any major problems that would be expensive to fix? Or anything to be looking out for? Hi all was wonder if anyone could help me. I took my bike out today and my exhaust set on fire I'll need to buy a few parts to mend the damage. Was just wondering if anyone might know the cause or reason this could have happend. The plastic cover (tip) has a big hole in it so this will need replacing and the packing will need to be changed. Just wondered if anyone has heard of this before of have had this happen. I personally have never come across this. Tia.

Got a gas gas txt 300 gp 2020 not many hours on it .I'm really not sure the gearbox is right from day one it feel like it has loads more gears when trying to find neutral when bikes off and the kick start got stuck today and it was Rock solid .like its jammed teeth any info please

Hi, I've just bought a new 2021 Gasgas txt racing. When I got it home I rode it around in my driveway for 2 or 3 minutes just to get a feel for the bike. A while after riding it I noticed that I had bruises on both calf muscles. These were caused by the very sharp edges on the side of the airbox. Admittedly, I did ride the bike with casual low cut boots on, so I guess it's my fault. My concern is that even with my trials boots on this is still going to be a problem if I'm riding it for 2 or 3 hours. I had a 2018 TRS before this bike and didn't really notice this being a problem even without boots on. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to impro…

First post I have visited the forum many times and try my best to research. I’m hoping someone can explain how I remove the springs from 97 JTX 270. Bike was given to me and I’m fitting it with stiffer springs. Getting the cartridge pulled out was a snap,but now I’m struggling to remove the actual springs. There was a tiny Allen bolt in the cap and I was wondering if that has something to do with it? Other though was the aluminum ring on the lower steel section. thanks Paul

Hi all so I've recently been getting my bike ready for a long day sesh on Saturday and so far I've re bled both brake lines and replaced brake pads. So all was good until last night while riding around my garden maby 5 mins after using/testing my rear brake I noticed it had siezed up. It didn't do that before but last night it was so hot it was smoking. So after it cooled the brakes came free and I took the wheel off and started to look at the pistons. After speaking to a mechanic today he advised me that I needed to adjust the brake lever piston going into the MS. HI, I have a 2015 txt280 pro replica. I've been having problems with the rear tire losing pressure. It isn't leaking, but somehow breaking the bead during my ride. I run 5 - 6 psi and can't pinpoint when/where the tire goes flat while riding, but it has to be breaking the bead somehow. I removed the tire, cleaned the bead, checked and cleaned the rim and everything looks good. Rim is straight and true, spokes tensioned and no gouges etc on the bead area. Not the valve stem. I'm running the dunlop 803 and it's in good shape. Any ideas before I just order a new tire and hope it fixes it? Tire holds air indefinitely if I'm not riding. Dav…

Hi all, First post to the forum although I have spent countless hours reading through here. I am currently riding a 2012 Gas Gas 280 Raga, all is well other than the rear brakes. The brakes initially work quite well but on a downhill the pedal will slowly drop lower and lower and will eventually bottom out and I will have to let off and take another stab at it. Is brake fade the right term, or should I be calling this something else? Any Ideas? I'm guessing that I probably need to rebuild the master cylinder? Thanks, Glayne

somethings just never end like this bike rebuild of mine😫😫 ok here is my problem and really hope someone can help me with guidance. My rear wheel hub and spokes were replaced. When my axle is equal distance from the swingarm bolt the wheel pulls front left hitting the chain guide. So im thinking of 2 possible mistakes. 1. the new spoke come short and long is it possible they used the long spoke on short side and short spoke on long side? 2. the complete wheel is off and all spokes need to be loosened on one side and tightened on the other

I'm pretty new to trials bikes in general and I'm rebuilding my 2006 TXT PRO 300. I noticed the flywheel has a weight installed and there's also a spacer under the flywheel cover. This wasn't sealing correctly so there was some mud and dirt built up inside. I've removed it and cleaned, etc but I want to try the bike with no flywheel weight. I had to drill the bolts off the weight as they were seized but got it off in the end (still have to finish drilling the threaded parts). The problem now is that the flywheel cover still catches the flywheel with no weight on (with the cover spacer removed as well obviously). Have I done something wrong here or why is there no cl…
