I've just bought what I believe to be a 1994 Gas Gas JTX270 Contact. Frame number shows it as a '94 - VTRGG2594 - but I've just ordered a '94 rear mudguard that doesn't come close to fitting. Can anyone help please? Don't want to keep ordering rear mudguards and sending them back! Cheers, Simon

I smashed the holder of the sidestand of my gasgas trial 2014. I will let it off i think but want to repair it for if i want to sell the bike. I repaired the holder, it was bend on the inside near where the sidestand is, so the stand could not go ''down'' anymore. It is now in the correct shape again. But i am having trouble fitting it correctly. When i mount it, the spring does not seem to hold up the stand enough, it is like 5 to 10 cm below the swingarm/brake caliper, instead of touching the arm/brake disk protector like it should. The spring should mount on the rotation point of the stand right?

Hi all, The manual of 2020 TXT says the idle should be adjusted to 900-1,000 rpm, but how can I know the rpm? The manual shows a "diagnostic connector". Does it mean I can connect an OBD scanner to read diagnostic information including rpm? If so, does anybody know what is the connector between an OBD and the GasGas "diagnostic connector"?

Hi, Anybody able to advise on diagnosis. I have purchased a 2002 Gas Gas TXT PRO and done full service on the bike. Replaced water pump seal as engine oil was milky reamy colour. Bike starts easily but within few minutes(as soon as warmed up) coolant pushes out radiator overflow and new replaced oil turns milky colour. Have replace Fan(bearings shot) as well as new thermostat. Flushed complete water system. No oil present in coolant when drained. Any assistance would be appreciated.

My body weight (<135lb) is too light for the standard setup and sure enough, I can't set static and riding sags correctly. There is an OEM part for a softer rear shock coil but it costs more than $300? and there is no OEM fork springs for lighter or heavier riders. I wonder if there are other sources that are selling third party parts. Not sure how critical to have correct springs for beginners, but >$300 seems a bit too much... Your help would be appreciate.

So,, back in the 90's I rode around with an old Montesa 125cc. 2 weeks back I fell the urge to get a new one so I bought an 2018 TXT 300 (which in hindsight is way to powerful) Of course it came with issues: 1) push out gear fluid thru the plastic hose, drained and refilled 3,7dl but still pushes out oil. 2) very hard clutch, new clutch discs 1 day before I bought it, but it's really hard. Nothing lika the MC that I normally drive, I thought that a hydralic clutch would be easier.. Any thoughts? (english is not my native so sry for any bad wordings)

Hi all, I am new to a trial bike and a 2 stroke engine with a carburetor. So, little education would be greatly appreciated. With my new 2020 GasGas TXT 280, I hear pipe pop or bang periodically at idle. I have been trying slow maneuvers and when I try it without clutch at the idle speed, the bike is pushed forward with every pop, which makes it difficult for smooth operations without using the clutch. The symptom becomes better a bit as the engine warms up but still there at idle speed especially with the slight up hill (thus the engine is slightly loaded). I guess my question is, is it what it is or something I can solve by carburetor setu…

I recently purchased a 2020 Gas Gas TXT 250. I have about 15 hours on the bike. I have the freeplay adjusted properly at the perch and am running the recommended 75w/90 gear oil, which was changed after about 2 hours. With my clutch lever fully engaged to the bars, the bike wants to creep forward. If I put it on a stand the rear wheel turns when in gear and the clutch lever engaged to the bars. Is this normal? I am new to trials and to this bike. I find that it actually helps me when balancing etc., but don't want to smoke my clutch. I did a search before I posted, and I couldn't seem to find anything to answer my question. Thanks in advance for any he…
