Happy lock down people. I’m after a bit of advice. Seen as though we’re not allowed out I thought I’d take my fly wheel weight off. I’ve never seen one like it. (See pic ) just wonder long how to remove it without breaking anything! Do I just take it off by the large but counterclockwise? I was expecting two Allen bolts to be undone. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you ?

Noticed the Gas Gas dealer I use, in Oregon State, has anounced 2020 models. My 2017 doesn't need replacing, but good to see KTM is working toward keeping Gas Gas trials alive. Art

Dont know why but i seem to have forgotten. 2014 tech fork. Last step you put the oil in, set the height. Put the cap on the inside rod. Than you pull up the innertube and connect the top, or leave it down and connect. The amount of air inside the fork should differ quite a bit

Quite the pain in the butt! All the fun of fishing a hose through the swing arm, and then of course the notorious bleeding! The replacement hose wasn't exactly like the original. The Original hose had a longer solid line section at the MC, with multiple small bends.. Anyone ever see that particular version of the hose? I did dig about online with no real luck. Good part is, I have a rear brake again!

I got a new fuel tank heat shield sticker to replace the non-original, falling apart one on my 2014 Racing plastic tank. Does anyone have a picture of where exactly it needs to be positioned (or can take a picture and post for me)? Thanks

Hi. Bike was running ok, then wouldn’t start, back garden engine running nothing outside whilst on lockdown mind. I think the petrol was left on by my lad, plus younger lad reving throttle whilst not running ? the plug was Fowler, so cleaned and started first time and every time now. I’ve ordered a new plug also. Question is, sometimes whilst trying to kick up, after about three times, the kickstart just slipped, but not all the time. I’m wondering if this is a spring like friction spring or just impatience of me trying to start and not letting it reset. It’s an old bike 1999 txt, but I was just wondering whilst it’s quiet is it something to check or do. Thanks…

Morning, As per my other thread, I'm trying to fix a running problem with my 2003 TXT300. I ditched the Ducati ignition system, and replaced it with a Kokusan complete system (Flywheel, stator, cdi, regulator, rectifier and coil). It'll run fine, then restart and it runs like crap (like the timing is out). I'm trying to ID the flywheel. Going through the wiring diagrams, it seems I have fitted a 1996-2000 Kokusan ignition system, my flywheel is stamped 'FP8102'. Anyone with a similar year bike able to confirm they have the same flywheel fitted? Most I see on ebay from around that year are stamped 'FP5367'. Also does anyone know what th…

I swear this bloody bike is cursed! So, previously.. The ducati ignition had been causing me some hassle, eventually leading to me buying a complete Kokusan setup off a 2002 TXT. Now after a few issues with parcelforce, I finally got the new setup so like an excited child at christmas set to fitting it. It ran fine for about 20 minutes then started struggling at higher revs, so came back and fiddled. Now its weird.. Itll be hard to start, then refuse to run properly. Popping & banging, smoking and just wont rev. Also getting very hot very quickly! To me, its like ignition timing when it fails to advance/retard. But then start it up after…

Hey, I was wondering about changing my 2stroke oil. At the moment i use 80:1 in my 05 pro, but the pj1 is rather smokey. and i wondered if there was a better quality out there? i know some people use Castrol supper TT ?? but i looked at the spec, and it said it was only good for 50:1 max and it was mineral, with my understanding that mineral mix wasnt as good as a synthetic mixer?? Any thoughts? Is the castrol anygood ? does it smoke less?...then again it aint broke so why try and fix it !! ??? Thoughts?

Hello fellow gasgas riders, My 2000 TXT 200 does a pretty loud knocking sound which I just can't really locate. It's a very regular knocking completely independent of clutch oder bike leaning, it depends a little on the load on the engine but that's rather irregular. I already took the cylinder off and looked for play in rod or main bearings but nothing... The clutch also is free of play. Does anyone know what could cause the sound? I could also provide a video if that helps Thanks a lot

Hi guys the bike rides and runs fine, obviously I have to put the choke on for cold start, but it never idles properly, starts to scream it’s head of, so stop choke then then slow revs for a few minutes then it’s fine and ticks over ok. Question is? Is this normal? Or should the choke be kept on. Also I’ve just had a look at the carb, at the side of the choke lever, there’s a little 5mm clear hose. Looks like it runs under the carb and connects on the other side? Can’t be sure without taking off but looks it it also has a couple of holes and looks a little brittle... is this a problem or can anyone tell me what it does. Like I said it does run well once wa…

Just cleaned the carb as to my previous thread, there’s a 5mm hose connects from one side of the carb to the other? It was split and had an hole in it. I’ve replaced cleaned and put back togeather. Now when I start on choke? Everything fine but when I take it off and rev, it’s bogging like mad. All I’ve done is clean with brake cleaner and done the jets with a small thread off a wire brush. It never did this before so have I done anything wrong or is there anything to check? The mixture screws are set and have not been touched.
