Gas Gas

  1. Started by Bauer,

Hello all. First post here. I am picking up a 2017 280 TXT later this week. It’s been ridden by a club pro level rider the last couple of years and It’s in pretty good shape all things considered. I’ve been doing a lot of reading on here but had a couple questions: fan - it’s still working but it appears all 4 bolts that mount it to the radiator have stripped out. It’s now just wedged in there. I don’t think it’s going anywhere - but is there a way to drill out and re tap or do folks just go to zip ties if this happens? starting - it’s a bear to start - any tricks or tips here? The current owner claims if you really snap your kick and give it a bit of gas…

Hi. Does anyone know which side the fattest space goes on rear wheel. Mine had it on the sprocket side but the brake disc is rubbing the right side of caliper so was thinking previous owner may have put them in wrong way around

Morning all. Embarrassing confession on this one...for some reason I used mineral clutch fluid when I was bleeding my brake systems a couple of weeks ago. Life has since got in the way and I only got back in the garage yesterday to put dot4 through. However now there is absolutely no pressure in my front system. Do I just need to persist/get a syringe on it, or will the mineral fluid have damaged any of the components? Cheers Rob

Hi all new to trialscentral so please bear with! Currently ride a pretty beaten up 2000 Gasser 280 txt pro and fancy something a bit newer. Found an apparent 05 model but I’m a bit dubious on whether it is what matey says it is. The livery seems to be from a Raga edition but pretty convinced they’ve been put on after. Also from what I can see the frame seems to look like a pre 05 model wondered if anyone can shed any light on what I’m actually looking at? cheers Lewis

I recently changed the seals on txt pro but the od of the seals supplied are undersize. They seemed to fit ok The od should have been 52.2mm but the ones supplied are 52.0mm, they don’t seem to be leaking but I’ve not done a trial yet! Anyone else had this issue, I don’t fancy wasting the oil to change them

Hi there just wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have a 2002 Gas Gas txt pro which has a V5 so I have a number plate for it and technically it could go on the road. Although I can’t for the life of me see how it would get through an MOT. Did these bikes come with indicators and brake lights originally. I’ve had a look at a wiring diagram for the bike and it just shows one wire that it says to cut if you want to remove the lights Any help with this would be grand thanks

I need help please this clutch was frozen and when i dissatisfied it i lost the order of the clutch bearing and my setup seems like it has a extra washer that's not in the parts manual. The manual has a ridged washer that rides on the fingers then the bearing. Mine has a extra shown in the attached picture.

There is no lip to get any purchase on I read on here the 1p trick for the rear bearings which worked a treat, but can't find anything in the front. Thanks for your help! Rob
