Wow, what a difference. So different that i initialy lost my balance just slow turning. Need to retune my body movements to match the new characteristics. All the lively snatchyness is gone, it'll pull you forward on tick over without that "teetering on the edge of stalling" feeling. I hope this reduces the my nervous clutch covering affliction. It remains to be seen if it adversly affects that effortless front wheel lift for getting over logs etc. Glad i had a dremmel, rattle gun and loctites available during fitting though.

HELP I have a 2018 300 TXT We have just replaced the alternator side crank case seal. Unfortunately the bike won't now start. It will occasionally start but only with the throttle wide open. When it is running it runs perfectly There is a strong spark Whe you kick it over you can smell petrol Carb is set up correctly. We have tried a carb off another bike and it still won't start The kill switch has been disconnected , makes no difference. Any suggestions - could it be the stator or voltage regulator - Its getting really frustrating Thanks Gareth

I have a 2020 TXT250 Racing. It’s petcock has three positions for off, on, reserve, but there is no indication on the petcock or in the manual as to which position is which! there is a nine o’clock, six o’clock, and three o’clock position. Anyone know which is which? Even my dealer doesn’t know.

Short story: I am looking for feedback on what's the general experience in getting Gas Gas parts and service under the new KTM ownership Longer story: I have a 2013 Gas Gas TXT which I have religiously maintained and upgraded throughout the years: Tech + Ohlins suspensions, Braktec brakes, did a full rebuild of the engine - new top end, changed every single bearing and seal in the engine, etc...). I do love my Gas Gas and I could maintain it and rider it for many years to come but I have the new bike hitch (I am in California and there are new emission regulations coming down that makes it the right time to get a bike). I know that KTM has done a lot of things …

Hi. I've got my 05 4rt up for sale as looking to move to a GasGas (wish id bought one instead of the 4rt) ideally i'd like the 2013/2014 250 raga rep as I like the suspension upgrades. Anything I should look out for before buying? Any common faults etc. Also what model/year would you experienced gasgas owners/riders say is the best and why? Cheers.

Just a heads up for anyone needing to modify their clutch pack. 9.75-9.85 is quoted so often i recently modded my 2018 clutch to around 9.80 then found this information the next day. which says that 9.8 would be beneath spec for the newest bikes. I didnt think the clutch changed so much over the years. Take what you want from it, but just a word of warning that the often quoted 9.8 may be going too far especially if you decide to sand down your fibres. Still don't know why they don't make 1.9, 1.8 1.7 mm thick plates

Hi, I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but here it is again. Bike running perfectly and decided to fit a new magnetic kill switch. Easy peasy, unplug the old one from the CDi side and then swap the earth/ground over from old to new. It was pre wired for terminals. Now no spark and I have checked every wire under the tank for breaks, not being connected, etc. NOTHING I have a multi meter but not the small probes to check resistance in the CDi multi plug Can anyone help please?

Is there any way to bench test the transmission to make sure it cycles through all the gears, I have my lower gears but it doesn’t seem like I have my higher gears, I have heard they are difficult to bench test is this true or should you be able to get some gears on the bench, I’m not sure if there is anything that could be out of whack, everything went together nice, ?

Hello All, New to trials and needing some help. Bought a 2004 gasgas txt 300 Raga. About 2 hrs worth of riding and no spark, did the whole swap the rectifier thing ,didnt help, couldn't find a cdi/coil for sale (ducati system). So i bit the bullet and ordered a complete Hidria system for a newer model. My problem? Not sure where all the wires go. Some are obvious, some not so much. I cant seem to find a wiring diagram anywhere for the Hidria. I am not running lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I thought the Bump stop was looking a bit tatty but until I compared to a new one I realize it was long overdue! this was on a 2004 Sachs shock and probably the original rubber. Note! The picture is only a comparison not how the shock is reassembled the rubber is fitted the other way up.

Hello, been creeping the forum for awhile now and was hoping you guys could help me work through an issue! 07 gas gas txt pro, bought this year, bike was like new with original tires, been having a blast using it to poach mountain biking and hiking trails. Brought it with me on a trip and had to do a creek crossing, it was a little deeper than expected and the bike died when I got to the other side, kicked it over for 30 min and finally went. Then I had to go back across, well soon as I hit the water same issue. This time I kicked the poor thing over for an hour and got it started, was running terrible , misfiring etc. Now it won’t start. Performed the follow…

I've got a low hours on the existing OEM fiberglass type packing but in the quest to make it as quiet as possible I purchased some "Long strand/Loose fill" material to try out. It looks just like the Jitsie product if you are familiar with it. http://areapnolimits.com/products/Muffler-Packing.php Makes sense to me... This info was very helpful because the G-G core is wrapped with a mesh Pic of the original packing material and the mesh wrapped around the core removed it (but saved it JIC) The challenge here is that the modern end cap is very long unlike a typical mx/enduro silencer and the older GG's …

Hey, Does anyone have experience with a compression test? I understand there is no standard. It will be different per engine, but I am looking for an indication whether the piston/cylinder may be worn. I now measure 75PSI and according to an earlier topic that is too little. who can help give me some advice? The bike is an Gasgas TXT300. 🙂 Best regards.. Alex

the decal on the bike says "Unleaded 2%" ( which = 50:1 ) but the manual says use 98 octane at 67:1 (and a "Jaso FD" classification type) think there would be any issues running this VP fuel? I cannot obtain the called out Motorex fuel near me. TIA
