The Mel Harrison sidecar national, the ninth in the series, ran on without a hitch after after weeks of heavy rain on Sunday at Kingstone Farm, Fellbeck. The twenty-eight crews applied themselves to the task admirably and were rewarded by opportunities to take points that will keep the championship alive. In the Experts Championship class Jon Tuck and Matt Sparkes showed real class throughout the thirty seven sections. Their Wessex TRS just stopping in three sections, one of which, Holly Tree, stopped the entire entry when a huge step with little juggling room had them all beaten. But Norman Shepherd let all the riders complete their first lap then moved in with a s…

As I mentioned in my previous post I am in the process of attaching an old trials sidecar to my even older Suzuki SP400 with a view to Green Lanes and possibly a long distance trial or two such as the Ilkley Classic Trial Before I start getting carried away with the MIG welder I need to know how the side car should be set up. As it is the sidecar lines up with the sidecar axle about 9 1/2 inches ahead of the bike's rear axle when there is a slight toe in. I understand this is about right, please let me know if I’m wrong. My biggest concern is lean out or not. I understand that most road outfits have a couple of degrees lean out. I am not sure if this is to overcome roa…

Does anybody know any news or results from the trial held in Newquay yesterday? Obviously I'm writing this as we didn't go. Now we are just riding for fun we didn't really want to travel 300+ miles each way! I do know that Lee Granby didn't go as he was ill.

Calling all sidecar crews! The Norfolk & Suffolk group are again running the popular East of England charity trial on the 21st June 2015. But this time will be including sidecars on two routes. The venue is The Trials Park, Corton, Suffolk, NR32 5LE. Situated between the seaside towns of Gt Yarmouth and Lowestoft. Camping is available at the venue over the hole weekend. We have a small but strong sidecar following within the Eastern Centre. But would love to see a good entry of crews to show off the skills of sidecar trials to a new group of trials enthusiasts.

It is with great regret that the Lakes MTA have today taken the decision to cancel The Lakes Sidecar Trial and the Twin Shock Team Trial scheduled for this weekend ( 23rd and 24th July). The lack of entries in the support classes have made this difficult decision necesary. THe clash with the Reeth 3 Day was always going to be difficult but this combined with the Barbon Hill Climb and other events taking place in the area have left us with no man power to run an event up to the required standard. All entry fees will be returned or shredded. The Lakes MTA apologieses for any inconvienience caused

Sidecar entries for this years trial MUST be sent in ASAP so the committee can continue to plan the event. Everything is in place, the routes have been decided and all that is needed now is for you guys to lick that stamp and stick the entry form in the post. Alternatively, visit our website www.manx2day.co.uk and go to the entries page. Here you can enter online via the ACU online entries page. Without the riders and passengers the event wont be the same. REMEMBER, book you travel and accommodation ASAP. Any queries, do not hesitate to contact us on manx2daytrial@hotmail.com
