Hi all, Just noticed in the latest edition of trialsworld, supertrick 4rt top yokes , allowing fitment of FAt bars, and footpeg mounts moving the pegs backwards....They are the same ones as fitted to the "Hope" Monts at the SSDT. Very nice, but, seing as i have just shelled out on a 4rt (after much deliberation, not to mention scrimping and saving), trick bits will have to be put on hold, for the time being. I thought some of you may be interested. Cheers

In trialsworld magazine a picture of Fujigas's bike at hawkstone is showing a switchable power mode similar to a Gas Gas Raga. This is not on Doug's bike. Any info ?

I've got a 97 315R and every time I take a wheel off, front or rear, the brakes tend to feel like they are glazed with very little grip for a while. After riding for a bit they start to come back. I've replaced pads, scuffed pads, sprayed with brake cleaner, but nothing seems to have much effect. Anyone have any similar problem?

I've been thinking of getting a 4RT, the dealer told me the only update for '06 was BNG (Bold New Graphics). Does anyone know otherwise? Also I'd love some long term feedback from a couple of people who ride thier bikes 200+ hours a year on maintenance, durability, etc. After the initial impressions I've seen very few long term reviews, what do you like, what drives you nuts? I'd gladly take the comments off forum if you don't want to share them here. My e-mail is wardo-at-sover-dot-net. Thanks, Wardo

can any one tell me the pros and cons of removing/ leaving in the exhaust restrictors on the 4rt. i have read somewhere that when riding standard bikes the team riders remove the one out of the front of the middle box. i had a look at mine, thought i would try it for a ride, and couldnt get it out. how do you get it out without damaging anything. is it worth it.

Today was the first day i rode my 4rt in the mud! i have had the bike for about two months and have been really impressed with it in the dry and on rocks, but after today im starting to get a bit worried about the winter slowly getting closer to us, i used to ride a gasgas 280 pro, and it would fly through slippy wet mud with no problems, as for my 4rt what a pile of sh**! but im not going to give up. Are there any other 4rt riders out there who no the correct techinque for ridding these bikes in the mud?

I'm getting different schools of thought on what oils to use in the 4RT. What the owner's manual calls for isn't readily available here in the states. For the motor, I've been told regular 10 w 40 and Silkolene synthetic 10 w 50. For the transmission, Silkolene Light 75-80 weight. Any bad experiences using these lubricants? Also, how often is everyone changing oil and filter for the motor and transmission fluid. Do I really need to replace those little o-rings every time I put in a new filter? Thanks

Hi all, Just joined the forum and already have a question. Got a 94 314r on its way and was wondering about the fuel mix. US Montesa tech tips recommends 50:50 mix of 93 pump gas and 105 race fuel with Silkolene 100% synthetic for the Cota 315. The only racing fuel I can get locally is CAM2 110 octane. Do you think a 50:50 mix of 93/110 is OK for a 94 Cota 314r? Could I even forego the mixing with the pump gas and just use 110 straight? What about jetting? Plan on using Motul 600 100% synthetic @ 1:80. Been ridin' for 31 years but VERY new to trials and appreciate ANY opinion.... ;o) = Uwe =

Does any one know if the digital ignition has a built in rev limiter? Whilst the auto shutdown feature is useful when the bike is on its side, six seconds jammed flat out is a long time! I recently parked mine upside down at the top of a section whilst I took a trip down to the creek at the bottom that took a lot longer than 6 seconds and it didn't try to shut down at all. ( But does if laid on its side).

Here are a couple of pics of the RTL 250F fenders I got from Japan through Lewisport here in the US. As you can see they put the Montesa fenders look rather cheap and bland. It appears that I will have to post them one at a time because of size limitations. I will then post a picture of my tank which I had signed in Duluth at the World Round last month by Dougie, Fugi-gas and Marc Frexia. I'm thinking and hoping it is a one of one.
