  1. as jordi says check fuel supply I kinked feed from tap to carb once fitting tank .didnt stop fuel completely but restricted it enough to give symptoms like yours also make sure the breather in tank cap is clear fling the old plug away and fit new with new cap and ht lead ,latter is a quick and cheap job and should be considered as routine maintenance hope this helps ya out
  2. hej colin The people to get in contact with for all the bits ,help and advice for your 315 is Jim Sandifords and luckily for you they are just around the corner in haslingden , pop round for a chat
  3. it states UPTO 50:1 so if your running 80:1 you will be fine remember with ratios ??:1 more is less ,eg.80:1=1.25% and 50:1=2% hope this is a help
  4. today we have the "no smack policy" some people say "unfortunately" so this matter needs to be dealt with in a diplomatic way and with the seriousness it deserves,,,,,,but maybe just maybe something positive can come from all this .and we can all take a step back and think about our sport and its origin and think about the family orientation that comes(should come with it) with it ,,,,,,please dont let it stoop to the levels of backstabbing overcompetive so called sports, like motocross. (now Iam in trouble ) ,I for one would have been very upset if I had been at that or any trial and impressionable children had been in earshot of an event like this ,,,sort yourselves out people just my two penouth
  5. I sometimes arrive home after riding enduro bike (fast forest roads)and cant resist a garden practice on trials bike and cant be bothered changing boots my enduro boots are sidi tae flex with the pivot ankles and its not the boots thats the (my)problem wearing them for trials the uppers offer superior protection and the pivot ankles make them posssible to use for trials, its the soles there is no feel at all (I like or must be able to feel the pegs and gear shift but mainly rear brake)to ride trials and as for walking up and down muddy slopes the soles are designed to slide going forward a have the minium of grip rear (for pushing )so walking up hill is possible but dodgey, down hill is impossible (unless backwards),likewise its dangerous /impossible to ride fast off road in trials boots.far to supple uppers and grppy sole for foot sliding cornering so its horses for courses as the saying goes. If i was in your boots(ha ha pardon the pun)I would get a pair of flexible or pivot moto x/enduro boots and have em resoled with a trials or walking boots sole , it must be possible? if you can find an old fashioned cobblers shop and ask for advice ,excuse the waffling hope its some help
  6. ....yes its 2 overflows with one pipe you have not got a fault the notch cut in pipe is meant to be there
  7. not a good plan to use caustic then wait for the wife to go out and bung it in the oven and cook it out (remember to use the extractor fan)
  8. remove it from bike bung up one end (potato works good)stand it up vertical and fill with a strong caustic soda mix and leave 24 hours a good rinse out with hose pipe N:B Ive used this many times in the past on road/race 2 stroke pipes and it works but i can't stress enough how dangerous this strong alkaline chemical is, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) will dissolves all the oily gunk in your exhaust but it also dissolves skin and flesh in seconds and if you get in your eyes you are in big trouble .wear chemical gloves apron and googles or better face mask and have a bottle of vinegar and running water at the ready ,i once spashed a bit on my thigh (through jeans )emptying it out after sitting in pipe overnight and i had the running hose pipe on it in about ten seconds and it still burnt me ,if you splash yourself throw some vinegar on it(the acid vinegar helps stop the alkaline burning ya ,then get under some running water ,if you choise this method of decoking your exhaust, be careful,do it somewhere you can prevent anybody else touching it ,keep children and pets well away ,ps the drain unblocker and oven cleaners in the shops are the same caustic soda(sodium hydroxide)but more dilute and nowhere nearly strong enough have fun ,IT WORKS, but be CAREFUL oh nearly forgot it also dissolves aluminium (its used to etch it and also used to prepare it for anodising so you really dont want to be splashing on your montesa frame or tail pipe etc ...by what premix oil are you using and what ratio getting ratio to riding style dialled can help prevent build up of gunk
