  1. good point luke, i was wondering why noone had asked why the plug cap wasnt just pulled off.failing that, i agree with the stalling, and what was said about fuel starvation.i got a throttle jam at max revs on an ossa gripper 350 the other week, but luckily it sorted its self out after i rolled the throttle a few times.
  2. is that the same usa that has the biggest porn industry in the world??
  3. woooo.i need to get out more thank god im gettin a mx bike soon. be pullin loads of birds then
  4. yo whats with the censorship, are we not all hot blooded males here? damn i need to get out more when it comes to anime............
  5. dont know how practical this is on trials bikes but here goes.a couple of weeks ago dads mate brought a daihatsu 4x4 in saying it was making strange noises when he braked. to cut a long story short, there was nothing left at all of the brake pads, and the pistons had seized. we heated the caliper gently with a blowtorch, but not enough to cause damage, then forced the pistons in with a screwdriver, left the screwdriver there and pressed the brake to push the pistons out again. after a couple of repeats of the process the brakes worked fine, and have no had any problems since.like i say i dont know if its practical on a trials bike as to be honest never had the need to take one apart, but try it if you think it will help
  6. sounds like the timing to me.a mate had a fantic that sheared a woodruff key and that backfired once, ran for a few seconds and refused to start again.due to the fact the woodruff key is important to the timing it would explain why the bike will not run anymore. just a thought, see if it hepls
  7. just got my ossa 350 gripper back together after the psiton rings yet and a thought struck me, being 1980 would it be better to run it on leaded or unleaded, will it make much if a difference either way, im not bothered about performance, just wondering how running unleaded in an engine that old will affect engine wear. oh yeah, does anyone know what sort of mix i should be running, we ran it on 25:1 but we dont know
  8. yeah, tourist info offices that i found. like i say im not sure if there is anywhere that will lease bikes, but if you find one tell me,could be of interest later on
  9. there are a few you can try bud,amblesidetic@southlakeland.gov.uk Bownesstic@lake-district.gov.uk try these, as far as i know there arent any places in cumbria where you can hire bikes like that, u would have to bring your own i think, but im new to the scene so ive never really looked into it that much, in barrow we have a track but you need a bike. hope them addresses help
