  1. Thanks, yes, I saw that only the early YZ / IT have 33mm Comp,height ( middle wrist pin to piston top end ), the later ones have 36mm, that won't fit....
  2. TYtrials says : Takes the capacity to about 263cc, 2mm over standard and offers a lot more bottom end grunt. I will try the piston and test it, will tell you how it works....

  5. Yamaha can't deliver pistons and some people use IT250 pistons in their TY's... Ist it plug & play or are there changes to made ? Difference in engine power ?     Ossa 250 2014

    If you want to sell the bike after one or two years, forget the 250, nobody will buy it, even it might be the better bike for most people.... Take a 300 and put a soft mapping on it, my Explorer is very smooth on the bottom and has power on the top end, but soft, not agressive, thats the advantage of fuel injektion, easy to make it suitable to your needs....

  10. heard a roumor today...... montesa has a large stock of frames, engines, plastics and other parts in spain, from this old spares they will build the 2014 bikes, after that they will decide if a new bike will come or Honda leaves trials.... anybody here knows more ? the fairy tale about the hall full of Montesas is not new, I heard such storys years before... I like the new Cota and if somebody buys my Sherco, I will order one......
  11. the spacers on my sons TLR are 20mm long, I removed them because of he is much less heavier than me ;-) I have 290ml ATF Oil in the forks, works fine...

  13. my son rides a 2012 125 and we tested the 2013 model, it has much more power than the 2012 but still smooth, not so agressive as the Beta 125 The difference in handling between the old frame build until 2009 and the new since 2010 is more than just new design, make a test ride and you will love it...

  15. Make a test ride today, front modified with "wirth" progressive springs ( for Yamaha XS 360/400 ), rear NJB shocks from my TLR200, runs good...

The TL is the former bike from Bruce Watts, imported in 2007 ?? from south africa and sold in germany 2009 and was rebuild from the first german owner, I don't know why he used black for the frame.... he sold the bike last year and I found it some weeks ago on ebay classifieds, I got the bike for the price of an good running TLR, so I must have it, I really love the big iron....   19. I mounted a pair Showas from my TLR 200 ( 39cm ) yesterday, looks better, but very close to the exhaust, will test it when snow is gone, neverending winter here..... :-(
  20. I bought a TL 250 last week, it has 36cm rear shocks and looks a little low... How long are the original shocks and which is the best size for trials use ?
  21. I have now made some experience on my explorer, I changed Footpegs and Brake pedal and mount the parts from the Trials bike, remove the passenger grip and footpegs and I love the bike.... For use on trials ( private area ) its better to disassemble the numberplate holder, its not very solid.... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
