  1. i have had pre 65 and twinshockers for many years.... so i decided to try a gas gas and i bought a 1994 JT 238cc contact just to play on.

Starts second kick every time from cold.... it runs for 10 to 15 seconds then sound like its starving and then stops and wont go again..... I then check plug.... no spark.... fit new plug NGK BP5ES and away she goes with good spark.  She will run ok for an hour   no problem.   next day i start it and back to run for 10 to 20 seconds.

What is killing the plugs and why??????  i am baffled!

I have tried the old used plugs in other bikes and no good at all.

Anyone had a problem like this?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Chummy

Your old ignition is breaking down and can't deal with the load , get a iridium plug and/or a new coil and lead.

Aka ... The plug is never getting to temp to clean itself .  And make sure all of your grounds ( motor mount bolts too .) Are good and clean .

  2. Hi guy's I don't post in this section very often , But I just took shipment of my xmas present to self ... I got myself 2 risk raciing's EZ3 jugs with hose bender nozzles & floor mount boots . I've got no interest in the Co. in anyway shape or form , (same folks market the Lock&load), But these folks are making some cool stuff . Can't wait to use the jugs and mount them to my dedicated bike trailer ....

     Riskracing.com    good stuff .

  3.  I personally don`t care what helmet anyone wears. But a helmet should not give you more confidence to ride bigger obstacles. Your ability should be what gives you the desire and will to ride untried obstacles. Then again I started riding trials before helmets were required.

Me too , I had a couple of bell stroker caps like Mick ... But I am quite comfy in my airoh ...

  4. I must be blessed !!!  none of the numerous Fantic/ grimeca drums I have , have any bad actual drum wear .but it still takes some time to set them up for stoppies etc ....

even with the 300 backing plate . on one of my rears i have added a shim around the anchor pivot though , and it does help alot  ..( beer can and tin snips ...:0 )

  5. At your weight , you may want some new progressive fork springs, the OE's may be getting tired ... And if memory serves , I don't think you want more than 5 psi in the forks ... I'll check my shop manual if need be ...Manual was inside and not out in the shop ..

First there is a grove in the fork tube that should be flush with the top clamp upper edge ...

2nd , 0 to 6psi in the forks ....(as long as the seals are not leaking ...
