Lighter clutch
Easiest way is to move your levers as far inward as you can this will also give you a much more progressive feel. Try it and its also free Dustin

ATF?
Dextron 3 really any make will work if it meets the requirements to be classed as dextron 3 then go for it. I have switched to Canadian tire house brand dextron 3 because its cheap $4.25 per L I just change my oil a little more often to cover my ass. Later Dustin

TXT280 any good?
I have a 2008 TXT 250 almost the same bike and it is a great bike. Look for the normal things wheel bearings, shock linkage bearings, etc... Then if you get it do a full fluid change forks, coolant, trans, new spark plug. Then ride the hell out of it.

Clutch bite adjustment?
Nope no crossed wire adjust the steel finger to the 19mm height and it will produce a more progressive feel if you adjust them down to 16.5mm it is more on off feel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=336BDbcZEMM He explains it perfectly good luck Dustin

Clutch bite adjustment?
Clutch finger height does adjust it out to 19mm or just move you lever father away from the grip. Try the lever method first much easier no taking apart anything good luck Dustin

gas gas smokey
Maybe if you are running roads all day you would want a 60:1 but for general trails and section riding 80:1 with a full syn oil is best.

08 Gaser Pro
So I repacked the bearings and just for your info check out the Lucas grease http://www.lucasoil.ca/products/product.asp?id=11&cat=PowerSports I am using koyo bearings and I used a torque wrench today and it is abit tighter than I had torqued it to by hand Dustin

How often should you change the oil on a 2011 Gas Gas?
Also the other plus of a higher oil changer schedule is you can check the magnets on the plugs for debris and possibly save your engine/trans from a catastrophic failure Just a thought Dustin
-
08 Gaser Pro
Thanks Jon I will check the grease I have or pick up some up thats more water tolerant. I dont use a pressure washer or degreaser, so cant be that. Dustin

Helmet Cameras
There is 2 HD gopros one will do full 1080 and the other will do only 960 but it is 199 vs 349 for the later. I use the full HD one and you can side mount it or chest mount it. Personally i was torn between the contour and gopro, I chose the gopro after hearing the contour puts out all clips in a MOV format and is a little more difficult to deal with compared to MP4. Also you can get a LCD screen for the back of it to preview your clips. More to think about Dustin

08 Gaser Pro
I assume you remove the inside seal as not to disturb the outter seal and what do you recommend for a grease. Onhand I have Lucas red and tacky grease would that do the trick. Thanks for the advice Dustin

What Is The Future - 4 Stroke Or 2 Stroke?
Haha so stupid of course. Ok just for kick say we add a small screw compressor driven off the crank. I bet it would still be alot lighter than a 4 stroke and have the rev to boot

08 Gaser Pro
Sorry rear wheel bearings
-
08 Gaser Pro
I have new rear bearings, installed. My question is how long do your bearings seem to last. I am getting about 4 months out of a rear pair, I ride every weekend. Does this seem like normal amount of time for bearings to last and has anyone converted there rear wheel to 4 bearings? thanks Dustin

What Is The Future - 4 Stroke Or 2 Stroke?
How about a wet sump no mixed direct injection 2stroke. Best of both worlds?

brakes problem
Figure 8 pattern and rotate the piece a quarter turn every 5-8 figure 8's. This keeps the pressure point even around the entire piece Good Luck Dustin
