  1. well, went to the hozzy today...no surgery required... he told me the name of a muscle id torn (which ive forgot) and said it was the one which keeps the ball in the socket joint...that as well as ligaments torn... set me some excersises and sent me packing.... got home, did a little bit and guess what happened..... thats right, shoulder dislocated again...knocked me proper sick.luckily it was out and back in before i knew it, but it took ten mins of sittin on the garden wall to get my act together...... back to square one again.... slowly does it.... think ill have to pass on the gentle ride out i had planned.... it was doin so well as well....
  2. excellent...cheers for them vids...was that you in the demo ? ive got a sheet of excersises from the hospital and i will try them ones off the vid when i get a bit more strength back in it.... it feels better every day now, im sure some repairing has taken place... early days yet tho... but perhaps not quite as bad as i originally thought... but for anyone reading this who thinks theres been some malingering and whining going on, let me tell you, this injury is a seriously painfull one...
  3. guess we're all carrying battle scars from our relationship with all things two wheeled.... shoulders feeling much better, still far from right, but i have alot more movement back...i did think it was compleltly buggered for a minute gonna hit the physio sessions heavily, providing they dont advise surgery on tuesdays appointment.... would you adavise staying off the bike as part of the healing process or to continue but take things easy....? im guessing i can take things slow and steady.....right ? total abstinance would kill me...
  4. cheers for the encouragment folks.... it seems to be getting fractionally easier to put up with this last couple of days... surgery, well, if that will give a decent/better repair i have no problem with it, ive had lloooaaadddsss of orthapedic bone smashing, hammering, reeming etc etc operations.... seriously, loads. but if its a case of natures course giving a better result well, obviously theres some merit in that... ive come to the conclusion that i could had fell on this shoulder any number of ways, the fact i was on a bike is irelavent (try telling the missus that who has sat by my side through man a dark day due to dopes in cars and road bikes....)but, yes, if id have tripped over the dogs bone which he leaves lying round or slipped and fell etc etc...if i landed on this already mangled shoulder id have done this injury, no question. the descision to make is do i continue to ride knowing if i fall my bones are shot and i break quite easily....or, live life wrapped in cotton wool......    dont think so.. just gonna have to takes thing reaaaall easy....who knows, it might improve my scores...hahahha
  5. alright alright go easy on a moron will you...hahahaha...im by no means a mechanic and every problenm i encounter is somthing to learn from... i understand the smoke would come from the oil or coolant but i had figured perhaps the wonky spark had perhaps affected the timing somhow and the bike was running hot due to not haveing complete combustion of all the two stroke oil in the fuel mix..like it was firing at the wrong part of its stroke or somthing but due to it having this monster irridium spark plug in, the spark was strong enough to still ignite the fuel....i then figured this had built up unburnt oil in the exhaust silencer and was burning because the bike was running double wicked hot, again due to the spark/timign issue..... if i was completley wrong then fair enough, as i said, i know next to nothing....im happy to be told im wrong and guided in the right direction, as i said, my diagnosis was uneducated guess work...hahahhahaha the shoulder...well.... your right on that too cope....im gonna insist on some extreme physio before the get the sword out... the things is, over here nhs physio is pretty poor.... if you can afford to go private well thats a different story, but on the nhs, from experience, they just give you an a4 sheet of paper with exersizes on and send you home....in and out, no real focus on the individual.... when i get my a4 sheet, ill be sure to get stuck in....the thought of packing in riding has got to be squashed asap.... a good recovery is the only way thats likly to happen because anything prolonged is just gonna make the possibilities of somthing like it happening again just immpossible. fingers crossed, and thats for you help and guidance. ill get back to my crack pipe now....
  6. buggered..... got to go back the hospital next tuesday to see if it requires surgery.......... it does feel slightly better today, but it just wont work hahaha i can move it from the elbow down no problem as long as i keep my shoulder still....i can lift my arm using the other arm pretty much ok.... but if itry and lift my by it self,1) it wont move at all, 2) i nearly pass out......... so yeah, no rappy mate...hahahhaha ill still do ye mam's heating with one arm tho, you just cant keep a good man down.
  7. hahha, yes cheers buddy..lesson learnt for sure.... sometimes learning the hard way is the only way... i amde a few mistakes i wont make again.... copemech, thanks...but im sure the plug cap was deffo the issue, it righted the problem immediatly after re seating it. perhaps because i had the irridium plug in it maybe it managed to produce enough of a spark to bridge arc etc... added to that, would it be possible that the alteration in the spark would act in some way like an advanced timing, because i was convinced that that was the problem i was having..... running really really hot, pinking etc...put the cap back on, it was all fine again... as i said, it was a stupid thing to miss, but i learnt a lesson, thats the main thing i guess....
  8. well youll know how bad this feels mate...hahahha ive severed the ligaments complelty. my arm just doesnt seem to work at all as i said, my falling off was no more then tripping over i supose when your held together with nuts and bolts and 10 or so years older then you actually think you are...well, a rude awakening like this is not good... early days yes, and if it will fix proper, who knows? the question playing on my mind is, when i climb back on again is any falling of at all gonna result in pain misery hospitals time off work etc etc etc ...worst of all, i reckon if this is in the back of my mind it could make me hesitant, which we all know is thats what makes you make mistakes and inevitably ,fall off ! hahahah ham ,how long did your shoulder take to get back on track ?
  9. oh dear.. ive been back the hozzy.... whats a rotor cusp ? cos mines buggered........... gotta go to a clinic on tuesday for assesment to see if surgery is required..... this is bad, couldnt have come at a worse time. after all my horrendous injuries form road bikes i thought id stay away from cars/roads etc and just go back to my trusty trials to keep my bike bug staisfied....trouble is, i dont bounce quite as well as i used to it seems..... i seriously hope i dont have to give this hobby a rethink , im back into it agin and loving it but if this shoulder needs any major kind of looking at such as surgery and prolonged physio etc... i dont know if i could chance any more falling offs............. seroisly, i just break so easily now it seems...... gutted isnt in it...got alot to think about............
  10. well, i sorted the bike out............ i feel so silly...... drained the fuel, and refilled with a leaner mix of 65mm of twostroke 5l of super unleaded..... ran the bike up and down the feild for 20 mins flat out each way...still smokin like a good un . shut off the engine and the smoke was billowing out, after a quick panic about it burstin into flames i started it again and contnued to cane it up and down the meadow..... no real result... apart from my clutch began to slip a little..... i bagan to think that perhaps it was overheating because, as suggested origionaly my head o'rings were passing..i figured that if they were, id possibly have passed coolant past the piston ring and into my engine oil... i thought that if this had happened it might expalin my overheating, and my clutch slipping... i expected that if i drained my gearbox oil id find milky crud in there.... 9 I realaise now on reflection that coolant wouldnt get into my gearbox that way at all, i dont think..hahhah) but i never got that far anyway before i found the stupidest of simple problems.... i thought, id check the coolant level to see if id lost any... so took off the fuel tank. immediatly i could see that the plug cap although on, was not pushed fully home. i removed my irridium plug and put my standard bp5es jobby back in.... problem solved. this simple thing of the plug cap not being seated properly caused SERIOUS over heating... to the point the exhaust was smoking horrible black smoke, the front pipe which was like brandnew chrome is now completly cooked with a blue rainbow tinge all over it.... the seat.mudguard palstic and exhaust guard plastic had almost melt, as did the airbox............ i was looking too hard at the problem, thinking it was deffinaitly timing/stator related and forgot to check the simplest of things. i just cannot belive that somthing so simple sould cause such a dramatic effect.... feel free to have a laugh at my expense, but if your learning and not the greatest of bike mechanics like me, please take this mistake ive made and learn from it...hahahha start with the simple stuff.
  11. thanks guys.. yes. hahah "the downhill dab..". good description of this horrible occurence...its that split second when you realise the floor is an extra two and a half foot away from were you thought youd left it, thats when the "oh bugger!" feeling kicks right in...... today, it feels worse... doesnt hekp that ive been out all day in the rain with my lad at his beavers day out...hhaaha home now, on drugs and talking broken busciuts...hahahah legionair, i would deffo agree, ive broken just about everybone in my body on bikes over the years and the pain from this ligaments damage far eceeds that of any fracture ive had.... i guess once a fractures been imobilised it feels much better,,, this thing, the muscle keeps jumpin around of its own accord and pulling at the joint/ligaments etc and sending me through the bloody ceiling everytime it does.! i hope its a quick recovery....
  12. had a good off today, managed to tear the ligaments in my shoulder........ wasnt anything major, just lost the back end on a slow turn up a hill and when i went to take a dab, there was no ground beneath my foot....... inevitably i went over and came down over the bike down hill landing on my shoulder... i felt/heard a quite loud crack and was convinced i had fractured it (again)... after a few minutes of cold sweats and cursed words i got my mate to get my bike on level groung so i could ride it back to the car... went the hozzy and had an xray and thankfully its not broken/fractured... but, the ligamants and muscle are torn... i can tell you, ive had a fair few serious fractures in the past few years (bloody road bikes...well car drivers to be fair) and i can tell you, this muscle/ligamnets damage is far more painfull then any fracture ive had...( includeing a shattered femur !!!!!!!1 are well, i hope it mends well and doesnt leave me with one of them niggling injuries that never goes away... 30-500mg co codamols and ibrupropen arnt even touching it........ are well, gotta go the beavers lads and dads day tomorrow with my lad.... a promise is a promise...
  13. any details welcome for camping.... <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central>'s etc are way out of my price range..... just permission to pitch a tent is all i need.....
  14. anyone got details then....
  15. i like the sound of this... never been there and its not too far from me.... can you give anymore details on it ?type of terrain etc... how much is the camping and are there any facilities etc or is it just a farmers field... (dont mind either way really) anyone got a phone number they could p.m me to call and make arrangments for this..... sounds great i love riding my bike and i love camping...

    Re packing...

doh..... i do think ive ran the bike to rich, despite doing what sherco advise.... so the can probably is full of shizzlepop.... but, with that slight knock added to the mix i do fear it could be a stator issue.... ive just had the big ends done ,everything was sweet as a nut, but is it possible after the three trials ive done since the work the stator has come loose or moved and advanced/retarded the timing ? the thing is, its running fine, really fine....just got this tiny knock ive mention and an exhaust which is hotter then a napalm vindaloo. forgive me and my limited knowledge of bike maintenance/mechanics... but im hoping its just a case of readjusting the timing if the issue IS stator related.....? would i be right in thinking maybe a worn woodrough key may have allowed the stator to slip/move and cause this problem ? or, if this was the case would the bike be runnin like a bag of broken busciuts ? as i said, it runs fine, just hot. gonna take silencer off at the weekend and fill with degreaser before i try any other methods..... but i do feel the issue will be, as you advise, stator related. doh.

    Re packing...

funny you should say that ham2.... at the same time the rear silencer started to get hot, i noticed the bike had developed a slight knock.... the knock sound is a single knock, and it happens only when i blip the throttle.....it does it when the revs reach their highest point...... i had wondered wether the two prblems were related...??? would an issue with the stator /timing make somthing like this happen ?

    Re packing...

ha haha ahaha care to elaborate ?
  19. still sounds normal so wadding must be ok'ish... i dont know whether degreaser is super flammable or not...., cant see it being a lethal mixture ??it seems to obvious a thing to do....????? if it was this simple surley somone would have done this before... can anyone give me a reason not to do it ? remove tail pipe, plug one end, fill with degreaser fluid like jizer... leave over night then flush through with fresh/clean jizer....leave for say a week to dry out before refitting.... stand back and see whaqt happens when it gets hot...hahhahahahha worst case scenario, it wrecks the wadding... well, then its time for plan B of cutting it open and repacking.........
  20. will the crud be just in the rear tail pipe/silencer or the middle section aswell ? im guessing theres only wadding in the end can and thats where the oil is holding ?
  21. that sounds interesting.... what did you use to re-oack it ? do the baffles come out or did you stuff it with them in situ ? also, i did do a search on here but couldnt find the thread with details on this issue mate... ? found threads on this subject but non detailing the surgery your talking about.. ? im hoping, if i run it really lean and then take it out and ride it like its stolen it may burn off the oil and sort it self out.... let me know if you think this is unlikley though...hahahah still no answer on pluggin one end and filling it with degreaser ? is there any reason why this wouldnt work ?
  22. good one egg ed, could have told me this on sunday....hahahahha nice chart tho.... bleedin sherco.... it clearly says on the side of the frame, "sherco reccomends 2% two stroke mix " gob****es, what are they doing ? a roaring trade in silencers ill bet...hahahha

    Re packing...

guys, it seems ive got this same problem on the go at the minute...... reading through it seems like no hard and fast methods have been found yet to sort this..... the suggestion of using caustic soda was obvoiusly a non starter, but is there any reason why i cant plug one end and a good degreasant fluid cant be poured in and left over night ?? ok ,it would soak every thing up pretty bad but this would dry out quick enough i reckon ? a few washes through should loosen the crud... ??? whats anyone elses idea's on this....? im at the stage where at my last trial the silencer got extrememly hot, nothing melted and there was no real change in tone, but it was clear somthing wasnt right.... do you think giving it a proper good thrashing will help, or i have i reached the point of no return ..... i dont want to melt anything.....
