  4. Hi All Anyone using a combination of fly wheel weight and long exhaust front pipe on a 2011 250 Pro? is it worth having both or will it soften it too much? Also what size front sprocket I currently have a 10T Any opinions on the best combination

Too many contradictions on this, frame color (unless re-sprayed) says Raga, wheel rims silver say not older than 2011 if Raga, shock spring should be purple unless shock or spring changed from standard Reiger. Air box small gas gas stickers 2011 pro. White front forks 2011 raga (black on standard models) or 2012 pro (raga went to tech forks in 2012) One way to try and compare is go on GG main site and search past models on menus then each one has pictures of the years.

I have a Clice soft shell jacket which was bought a couple of years ago but since I only ride occasionally (unfortunately due to work commitments) it has probably only been worn and subsequently washed no more than a dozen times. The problem is the zipped parts are not stitched to the coat but heat sealed which has now come apart from the shell in several areas. Has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do to fix it. Since it is more than a year old I have tried contacting Clice directly via their website and have just been ignored. For the price paid I would have thought it should have stood up to a lot more hard work than I have given it. The after sales service from Clice is disgraceful at best and if anyone is thinking of buying this type of jacket from them I would say avoid at all costs.
  9. Real Scary!!!. I had a 2010 300 4T and changed it to the new style without the rim tape. I don't know about other manufacturers but any Evo will fit as long as when you turn it from a right side to left side sprocket remember to turn the disc around to change it's rotation direction.
  10. Bought a 2011 300 Raga a couple of weeks back, first ride this weekend bike rides nice lap 2 started overheating stopped and went home disappointed. Just checking through possible causes, hard wired fan - it's working ok, bike warmed up both pipes from water pump roughly same temp - pump appears to be ok, took thermostat switch out put in boiling water and continuity checked - ok. Sort of worked through the immediately obvious culprits but they seem ok, anyone out there with any other ideas oh also when warmed up sounds a bit rattley (not a proper word but I'm sure you get the idea). Any suggestions appreciated

  12. Unfortunately with it being an old'ish chain with a bit of wear even on snail cam max the chain was too long but a full link removal was just a little too much

    300 Pro Chain

    Hi Quick question, I need to get a half link for my 2011 300 Raga due to changing to 10t on the front, anyone know what make the stock chain is? would prefer to buy same make for the half link also I assume it's a 520. Thanks
  14. Does the Long Pipe do exactly the same as the Low Compression Head? if so what are the pros and cons of fitting either one. I assume the long pipe is the easiest since no coolant draining etc. required. Which is preferred? Thanks
  15. My 2010 300 4T was making a bad knocking sound on idle and low revs it turned out to be the spring on the de-compressor weight that had failed. If you look in the manual it shows a small weight on the cam shaft. You can download a 4t engine service manual from American Beta and on page 64 it shows the weight and spring. Not saying this is your actual problem but this failed on mine and might be worth considering. Good luck Manual here in support section. http://www.americanbeta.com/
  16. Looking for some advice, thinking of changing bike in the near future and looking at Gas Gas probably 280. I heard they did a frame geometry change recently what year do I need to look for to ensure the new geometry? also whats the main differences in the Racing versus TXT Pro? and is the difference worth the extra. Is the Racing different to the Raga? Thanks
  17. Hi Has anyone had to change their head gasket on an Evo 300 4T, I have a small water leak (just an occasional drip really) from where the recess is for the water pump. Water pump seal is fine. If anyone has changed one any tips would be appreciated and how difficult is it? Thanks

I have the same bike and fitted the jitsie screw and it is fine, the only thing I did was put a mark on the float body and one on the screw in the closed position to allow me to see how many turns nice and easy. The big problem I find is the tick over adjuster is a pain in the a*** to use if anyone has fitted a remote one I'd like to know what bike it came of.

  20. Hi Anyone know where to get a replacement back exhaust heat shield at a decent price the originals seem to be very expensive and I can see plenty of after-market stuff for the 2T but not a 4T. Any help would be appreciated
  21. Hi all I have been given a rear wheel of a 315R Mont with the spokes that go through a flange not the rim and would like to know if anyone has fitted one to their Evo 4T. If so what work is needed e.g. spacers, type of sprocket and rear disc. Or does anyone know if the rim can be laced to the Evo hub (it has the same number of spokes). Thanks

  23. Yes it's on the over run and on the standard exhaust, sealing the exhaust solved the issue of the back fire, I'm more concerned with the flames and the slight cough at 1/3 throttle could this also be caused by the exhaust sucking in air ? Thanks
  24. Have got a bosi for the 300 4T Evo and need advice on setting up carb, with original carb settings it seems to have a little sort of cough at about 1/3 throttle. Also flames from the exhaust with a backfire Any advice please Thanks
