    Rules

Do you mind John? In fact, I'm sure many others on the site may like a copy too.
  2. I see the wheather is on the change

    Rules

Sure is! As I said on the phone he knows whats what but Tom is having kittens about observers who don't know the rules. I thought giving him a noddy guide would help. The guide bigfoot has supplied me is excellant, I'll forward it on and you can distribute if you feel its needed.
  4. This is a top idea!! The old double edge sword brownie points scam. Tell her you are doing something for her when in reallity its for your own gain!I'm working on the plan to tell her we need a four lane Scalectrix!

    Rules

Does any one know where I can obtain an upto date noddy guide style copy of the rules? Something with pictures so that a person new to the sport could use is to allow them to be fully aware of the system when observing.
  6. So whats the format for Saturday night? Is it bring your own beer and food and use a communal BBQ or will I need to bring something to cook on too? Is there a beer tent etc?
  7. So whats the best way to get there then? I shall be coming form the north down the M6, am I better of going south to the A65 to Settle and then heading north or should I get on the A984 and then drop of on to one of those B roads? Its my aim to be there by around midday on Saturday.
  8. Thought I would add a bit about bikes on the hill during the pre-65. I was chatting to a fellow member of one of the clubs I'm in and he told me that bikes were actually allowed on the hill during the pre-65! I thought it somewhat stange but we all know how chinese whispers work.
  9. I believe this was one of your paint jobs? Very nice! Shame that about a second after this was taken at Witches Burn it all went wrong. The rider (Will Bratley?) land in a heap at the bottom with bike soon following. Very nasty crash but I saw him ride a day later so lets hope both him and the bike are ok.
  10. The winning bike? Note the geek in the background, thats duckwizard.
  11. Here's Birkett again, this time at Lagnaha
  12. I attempted to place this text as a reply to the article. Interesting to read that Graham Jarvis fived the final section at Gearadh. I saw him and he rode clean. He was, however, witnessed by the observer moving a very large rock on several occasions during his walk through to get a better line. Don't know if this was the reason for the 5 but could it cost him this years SSDT? The plot thickens... Here's a picture of said section. I've done my best to show you the rock but I'm not very good with the paint package. Its off to his right and in the background.
  13. Sorry, Mark Booth.
  14. I sent my entry but have not heard anything back yet, has it been received?
  15. Its the pegs that wear the soles, what with the sharp edges and all. Plus, every rider should be moving/rocking their feet to around the pegs to ensure good bike control is maintained at all times. Thanks for the complement Marky boy, I've heard you've sold out mate and bought a beta? Had enough of the Scorpa or did you just fancy a change? You won't be making it to the TC trial either is that right? Shame, I'm making a 700 mile round trip and I won't be able to put a face to the name! Next year eh? As I said before, no boot is waterproof. Let me not pull the wool over anyones eyes, the No Stops do let water in but I find them very comfortable, more so than Novogars anyway. I've not tried any others so I can't coment. I use Gortex socks at any wet trial, with bodge tape wrapped around the ankle to stop them riding down into the boot. The idea of the post was to bascily say that if you're on the look out for a pair of boots then its possible to get them at a reduced price. Its a saving of around 25% on retail, which, as a Yorkshire man, is better in my pocket than anyone elses. Big up Potter!
  16. Party in your room I heard! Shall I call you Tuesday?
  17. The price is cheap in comparrison to the RRP I've had mine for three years and they're fine, then again, I polish them often. No boot is waterproof but a pair of Gortex socks stops yer feet from getting wet. The boots must be crap, thats why none of the top riders wair them.... Oh, apart from Dougie to name just one. All colours available, as for the question about the web site? I don't know, I don't work for them, try asking Jeeves!
  18. Any photo's of this one ringo?
  19. Quote from Tecno (Sandy George) to me before the trial: "I'm going to thrash you at this trial!" Extract of the score's taken from Inverness website. Novice. Neil Crawford 36 (most cleans), Paul Major 36, Donald MacPhie 43, Neil Maclennan 46, Nigel Robertson 51, Richard Bain 57, Gordon Graham 68, Mark Booth 69 (most cleans), Donald Macdonald 69, Steven Macphee 73, Graham Allan 84, James Simpson 88, Kenny Macdougall 104 (most cleans), Kenny Foggo 104, Michel Williamson 105, Lee Major 107, Allan Macdougall 115. Youth "A". Andrew Macneil 23, Craig Middleton 41, Sandy George 82. Well done Sandy, you "thrashed" me good and proper!
  20. When are you going to be there John?
  21. Sorry, should have been more clear. They're not on the web site, I saw them in the shop itself. Use the web site to e mail or call. They are in the shop though, I saw them.
  22. Found them in Probike, Inverness.
