  1. It was a superb event from start to finish. The hype about this being the best indoor event in the world is totally justified, this is a truly fantastic show. I'm sure it is only a matter of time before the events format, method of qualifying etc, is adopted by the FIM for the WTC Indoor series. Having every rider start a section first, a stroke of genius. The design of the sections was such that it brought out all the skills of riders. Bou - what can you say. The word perfect is used a lot in trials, his performance was just that. Perfect, with a little bit of showboating thrown in. Doug - Once again proves he is still a contender, must of been one of his best indoor performances for a while. An outstanding ride to sign off his time with Montesa HRC. Fuji - Again another very good indoor performance, always entertaining. Dibs - Made some silly mistakes but I'm sure he throughly enjoyed his night. Browny - Awesome. Raga - Very much to his credit, tried to ride with an injured finger but had to retire. Its a shame Sheffield didn't get to see fully fit Raga, as he has proven that Bou doesn't always have it his own way. Wiggy and Ross. Probably disappointed with their performance but they will be other opportunities in the future and this would have been valuable experience. Well done to Avondale Management and well done to the riders. Lastly not forgetting team responsible for the hard graft needed to dismantle all the sections and the post event clean up, which goes on into the night whilst we journey home to bed.
  2. Considering this was only his second indoor trial young Michael rode absolutely outstanding. Other riders have stepped up the huge level to this type of event and struggled, Browny looked confident throughout and showed great composure, even when experiencing mechanical problems. Not only that he rode more sections then any other rider on the night, as he had to ride the shoot out with Ross and Wiggy. I'm sure I am not alone in being very proud of his awesome performance and I hope we see a lot more of him riding indoor events. Hopefully with not as much running about for poor Shaughan, who also responded to the big stage superbly.
  3. What with Dibs and Wiggy riding for TRW Future Trial it should be an exciting year ahead for the team. Good luck I'm sure you will have a fantastic time.

    Rev 4 300cc Kit

I would love to have a ride on the Rev 4 so I can compare it to the 4RT. However, given my new job is UAE, purchasing a new trials bike is not a priority.
  5. UEA is in Norwich and the town of Ipswich is in Suffolk you numbty! Plus of course I'm not talking to you. 90 min winner at the Riverside!!!!!
  6. I can't believe how you can be so cruel and insensitive. As from the 22nd December I am now unemployed.....well until 7th Jan 2008. Bytheway its UAE United Arab Emirates and not UEA which is the University of East Anglia.

    Rev 4 300cc Kit

I see the 300cc kits are becoming available for the Rev 4, as used by Jordi Pascuet in the WTC. Be interesting to see what they perform like. Betatrueba
  8. and who told me to book my Christmas break through Travelscope.............
  9. It was a shame that the Belgium round was cancelled as it would have given Doug the chance of overtaking him in the rankings.
  10. The simple reality is why should other people fund someone else's dream? If people want to by way of sponsorship great if they want to contribute to an indivdual, great but a nationwide campaign isn't the way forward and probably for the reasons. However I believe the ACU should be doing a lot more to support the up and coming, as well as established riders in much the same way as the Spanish and Italian Federations do. You just have to see their trucks in the paddock. I do hope that the fund is successful for the American riders, I've seen Smage ride and that boy certainly has talent.
  11. Would you be making such a statement if the GB team were winning it every year?
  12. They should be made to pay for all the expense of the emergency services. Which lifeboat station were you from?
  13. So whats the Scott then? Doug's had more World Round wins than the rest of the current top ten riders and he has still got some left in him. I'll have
  14. I didn't know Richard Hammond had died.
  15. The Beta or the one piece suit. I'm actually now one suit down but I won't spill the beans on who will be wearing it!!!
  16. and was the Bangor website one of yours as well? I was quite impressed with that one as well.
  17. Not as surprised when I found at that the US answer to Paul Daniels managed to pull Claudia Schieffer. Know he appears to attract women for a different reason. Alledged
  18. So whose trumpet are you blowing?
  19. The black frame protectors are a must, whatever the finish. PPC sounds like the best option, although I will leave the swinging arm alone, which is what Montesa should have done. Instead I may opt for some Mitani black swinging arm protectors. I reckon a carbon fibre affect would also look the dogs on the flat tank, could this be achieved with a sticky backed sheet of the stuff.
  20. Some poster on TC advised me to take out an endowment as a method of paying for my mortgage and now the fund will not pay out sufficient to pay off the outstanding debt. The same person also advised me to get a private pension with Robert Maxwell and join the Farepak Christmas Savings Club.....
  21. What are the pro's and con's of having 4RT frame either anodised black or polyester powder coated. Quality of finish, cost and durability. Anyone know anyone in the North Yorks or North East who can carry out the work? Thanks
  22. Now DJ don't be getting all emotional on me....my trials career isn't over just on hold for a while. You'll still have a room mate for the WTC Rounds we attend. As for Marky Boy, I bet I still get to ride more trials than him next year, even living in another continent.
  23. I think a move back to 2 stroke is on the cards. Unlike the 4RT the 4 stroke Beta hasn't really been tested at the top level of the sport and I think it would be a step backwards for Doug. The change to 2 stroke is the more exciting propostion and the one most likely to reap the best results.
