  1. I have gear oil coming out of the waterpump inspection hole so guessing the seal is leaking on gearbox side of pump shaft. Bike has about 1 hour of use...... Anyone had this happen before? Anything I should look out for or check when replacing the seal? Thanks Mark G
  2. Looking at putting a Mitani Ti header pipe on my 2015 4RT. Any suggestions on what diameter to get? There seems to be a few to choose from. Not looking to modify the muffler entrance so any input appreciated. Mark G
  3. I know the barrels are interchangeable but was wondering if anyone knew if the port timing or sizes were different. Mark G
  4. Hey all, Just started a long overdue restore on my TY175 in Australia. The engine will be rebored with a Wossner piston. Is there any differences between the model 525 barrel and the 1N4 barrel? I have a spare 1N4 barrel that will take a 1st oversize rebore better than the 525. thanks for any help! Mark G
  5. @lineaway - 50:1 as recommended by the dealer. Oil isn't coming out as yet it is just blowing exhaust out and is noisy. Not what you would expect from a $9000 bike. Definitely my last gasgas.
  6. I have a 2013 factory replica that has an exhaust leak from the muffler at the joint between the body and end cap. Any one else come across this? Any suggestions for a fix? Bike has about 5 hours use and about 6 months old.

    340 Crank Seals

Great description from Bondy! Can't stress enough how fragile the seal carriers are. Good luck!

Hi and welcome! The frame number suggests you have model 191. '77 to '78 Sherpa T 350. This is great website listing models with pictures. http://cemoto.tripod.com/bultaco.htm
  9. Hey all, Anyone know any reliable companies that could ship a bike from the USA to Australia? Thanks!!
  10. Thanks for the replies. I found the info for serial number 539 but this one is definately 589. It is the same yellow colors as the 539.
  11. Hi all, My brother in Australia just purchased a TY with 125 stickers on it. Frame number 5890047-- and engine number is just 589, nothing following. Bore is 66mm so guessing it's a 175 bore. . I have searched the id tables but can't find a model 589. Anyone any ideas what year this may be? And should it be a 125? Thanks!!

    Jumbo Main Bearings

Hi all, The main bearings in my Jumbo are growling suggesting needing new ones. Question is - do I have to split the cases to replace like the bultaco engine? Anything I should look out for whilst replacing these? Thanks in advance! Markg
  14. Agree with what everyone says. Following worked for me on my 199A and 199B. I used fibre clutch plates, M49 springs (shorter and softer), backed spring adjustment nuts off all the way possible just short of touching case. Made my clutch one finger with no slip.

    199B Fork Caps

Very nice Bondy! Should look great when it's back together! Don't think the washer and spring are old style fork caps. I have 3 B's and all are the same?? Either way new caps fixed the problem. Thanks everyone! Keep your feet up!

    199B Fork Caps

Thanks for the reply! I changed the fork seals and put 180ml of 10w in each fork leg. I will drain and recheck. I too have never seen this before. I took the nut off the fork cap and the spring and flat disc. I can't see any ball bearing. I have swapped the caps with my other 199B so will test ride and see. Thanks again.

    199B Fork Caps

Hi all, I have a 199B spitting fork oil out of the vent holes in the caps. I am used to a little around the holes but these are spitting oil onto the tank and engine etc. - Any ideas how to fix this? - How do the caps come apart to clean the vent valve? Thanks! Keep your feet up!
  19. Steve, So what would be the best way to have a kill switch wired/operate? So as to not damage anything? Thanks! Mark G
  20. Don't mean to hijack this post but..... What would you classify as a " proper kill switch"
  21. My model 10 over here in the States has that same bracket. Makes sense that's where a stand could or should go. I have never seen a picture of a m10 with a side stand fitted? Mark G
  22. Thanks everyone for your help. This bike came to me in boxes so looking forward to piecing it back together....
  23. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone knows what type of rear hub this is in the picture. It isn't like any Bultaco one I have seen before. They are the wheels from a Sammy Miller frame with a M49 engine. Rims seem to be the Bultaco shoulder type rims. Thanks for any help...
  24. Hey all, I am rebuilding a M49 series one. I bought it in pieces and everything is just about back together but i seem to be missing the washer that sits on the gear shaft seperating it from the side case. I looked in the parts book to confirm there should be one there but dont have sizes. Would anyone have one to measure me the outside diameter, inside hole diameter and thickness? It is the earliest M49 with the oval side cases. Any help appreciated,,, Thanks, Mark G
