    M27 Frame Number

Hi all, I just picked a nice M27 but can't seem to find the frame number. I checked the usual places, headstock and above the footpeg. Has anyone come across this before.? The bike was apparently bought new in 1967 in Spain then shipped to Canada shortly there after by the same person. He then got injured and the. Bike sat in storage for the next 45 years.
  4. Something is for sure wrong. It seems by the photos to have spacers in the right spots. Have the wheels been re-laced with new spokes?
  5. Hi all, Has anyone got a parts book for a Model 80? I need the part number for the side stand. Thanks, Mark
  6. As already stated heat is your best friend for disassembly and reassembly. I would suggest making up a tool to help split cases. That is one that pushes crank shaft and gear shaft out of bearings to separate cases.
  7. I would think the clutch side flywheel/counter balance. The 250 ones are about half the weight = less rotating mass means should rev quicker.
  8. Johnjsy - what do you use to centralize the crank in the cases? Shims outside the bearings?
  9. Shercosteve, think your inbox is full. Couldn't pm you.
  10. What model flat slide OKO did you put on your 199A?
  11. Think I may have answered my own question: Wider small end can be used if big end fitted with thrust washers??
  12. Hi all, Does anyone know if you can use the 30mm bearing instead of the 20mm one with the 2 alloy spacers? I was supplied 30mm one with a new Mahle piston and wanted to check it was OK to use before I fit it. Thanks. Mark G
  13. What part of the States are you in?

    Gas Gas 327 Psrts

I'll give Jim a call. Parts are for a Merlin but I am lead to believe the gudgeon pin bearing is the same . Thanks
  15. Hi all, Looking for somewhere to purchase a little end bearing for a 327. Size should be 20 X 24 X 30 Thanks,
  16. Hey all, I have just acquired a early 80's Merlin and need some engine parts. Namely a piston kit and possible con rod kit. - anyone know of a supplier? - should these bikes have a chrome bore? It is a very early bike. #7 off the production line I believe.
  17. Yep, I have the bracket on top tube just needs drilling. I have the plate aluminium just need time to make it...... Thanks
  18. Hi all, I know there was some "discussion" about the aluminium head steady found on some later model 199Bs. Has anyone found any retailer selling these later types?
  19. There are a few 300RR's for sale within 3 hours drive of Seattle for $9999 USD
  20. Don't forget a new longer kick start......... I really would have thought a 300 engine would be in the Repsol at least... Now we have to wait and see if the 300RR will be released again later next year.
  21. Looks like the 2017 model info is out. Doesn't look like a 300 engine. I can't really see any differences besides aesthetics? Anyone else see any changes?

    4Rt Sump

My 2015 had an oil leak out of the water pump seal, oil side. Oil was coming out of the small hole at pump. It was brand new out of the box. Might pay to check that.
  23. Anyone know if there are any differences between a 151 and a 159 cylinder head? My 159 has a damaged head and I can get a 151 head. Any help appreciated. Mark G
  24. I would hope for the 300 engine in the Repsol edition. Most 4RT owners and dealers I have spoken to would like to see the same. Time will tell. I find it interesting that in 2016 the USA only had the standard and 300RR versions available. ??
