I put 100mls of it in to my gasgas today just to top it up as the oil was low it made things alot quieter and clutch was nice and smooth. It seemed nice and good for me.
It's also nice and cheap. Is it alright to use it for future gearbox oil changes?

In Easter me and my family are going to barcelona. We know the gasgas ossa and s3 factories are based in girona so me and my dad would love to go and visit these places.
Does anyone know if I should just turn up and ask for a tour or should I send them an email or something. Are they even open to visits?
The bike were talking about here is 2007 . How do I raise the fingers? My bike is a 2008 and it's not that light to pull is the spring for 2006 onwards fitted from factory or is it a 'mod'?
Nice video and riding:) the gopros are great cameras I used to put it on my helmet but I didnt really like it (you can't see enough of the bike and it's very high up) I got the chest mount strap thingy and it's amazing I havevent put anything on YouTube yet but will do shortly:) its well worth £35

I will show them this thread and hopefully we can get it done:). So how do I make my clutch easy to pull and light and bite in the first 1/5 of lever travel without slipping? That's what I want.
Change the gearbox oil every 5-6 hours of use and keep the air filter nice and clean and oiled.
Clean the carb every 5-6 rides and keep the coolant topped up
Probably best rebuilding it. I think you can get an ajp rebuild kit fairly cheap.
Phone up your nearest bike shop they will probably be able to source one for you.

My friends bike has an issue with the clutch i think it need new clutch plates? Here are the symptons.... When changing up to 4 th gear and higher the revs go down as normal but when you try to go faster the revs get higher and you don't get faster. Also when dumping the clutch lever out on.a standstill the bike only beggins to move a fraction of a second later.
The lever is also extremely light to pull on I think the previous owner must have modded it. And you let the lever out all most all the way and the clutch only engages in the last cm of lever travel.
( I don't know if that has something to do with it)?
He uses gro 75w gearbox oil as reccomended by Gas Gas.
I think he will new clutch plates?

the engine on the 2012 bike is almost the same as older years except for a few different internal things. you should put 450mls of gear oil in but thats if its completely empty (dry) i used to put 400mls in my sherco and never had any problems.

it is not the cheapest but i found it eliminated any clutch drag and lasted a very long time between changes.
this will also be fine http://www.splatshop.co.uk/putoline-light-gear-oil-1ltr.html
but it wont be as good quality as the gro oil (in my opinion)
