  1. Step forward Barry Thankyou! it must be said i`ve been contemplating getting a snake for some time now but always have that thing in the back of my mind telling me it`s wrong! so may go for a couple of they fighting eels you can get and a nice big tank? Perhaps it is because of people like Steve I am the way I am had a lot of very good role models in my era: Steve Irwin, Ray Mears too name a couple plus a bit of luck with riding a few BMX comps with legends like Bestwick, Moon, Tabron etc. always had someone too look up too and I daren`t say they`ve made a big differnce too a lot of lives and the way people look at the world.
  2. I beleive there should be some form of plastic bushing in there too stop them topping out, maybe they are worn? (all this is dependant on the make of fork etc etc but thats all I can think of)
  3. Now that sounds like a challenge too me!
  4. nope I haven`t as yet so if anyone else reading this has them could you let us know?
  5. Bit vague I know but somewere in Monmouthsire! don`t want too go too far in as I will still need too get too Filton, Bristol everyday for work
  6. I stumbled across this very trick little calculator for mixtures HERE
  7. When you have too buy as many`spares` as me a week off is needed too settle the bank account! even had too borrow todays entry fee! But yep first section was like "oh yeah i`m meant too keep my feet up there not down there aren`t I" All this talk of other bikes has given me the taste too try `em all out I especially want a go on a 4rt don`t know why just do!
  8. I rode like a muppet for the first half but was a great place and great day none the less that`ll teach me for having a week off and riding a road bike for the first time in 3 years! and like I have said in another post somewere there were nothing but Beta`s really today! more so than I usually notice
  9. good in a way as long as they have lost it without comprimising the end quality?
  10. this is true betarev3 but they have mentioned some internal changes (engine wise) may be there? though a lot too loose just from there, bars clamps and hubs changed too? And although the build quality maybe getting less which I think is terrible for such a relatively small company too do (in comparison too the market) I couldn`t beleive the number of Beta`s at todays trial! i`d say 3 out of 5!
  11. From your name i`d say your mind is mostly made up! I can`t comment as I STILL have only ever riden a 97 and 99 Scorpa easy and a 04 and 05 rev 3 needless too say which i prefer!
  12. Well thanks too Pheonix mcc for a great trial today very nice bit of land and some great riders there today! took me a good lap and a half (out of 3!) too remember how too ride the Beta after the break (and playing on the new toy!) Great day was had by myself and Kev and I was fortunate enough too keep up with some of the Expert riders very good too watch, and aspire too
  13. Sorry should have mentioned! it`s the name of a club in the Bristol area ( well thats where the trial is being held anyways, near severn beach)
  14. Bloody hell whos that then? after the abuse you gave me!
  15. Is there anyone out there that can tell me anything about this club? as in what are there routes like? terrain used etc etc.
  16. something I do on all my vehicles/pushbikes well bloody anything really if anything looks sus or weak it`ll get replaced (nut/bolt wise) with a stainless equivalant (could be weaker than mild steel but shouldn`t seize in so easy) copper slipped up in the right places or loctited in and fannys your aunt, think its just a general engineering thing built into too my head.
  17. I was gonna get me some from there but the postage is about the same as the product! guess it`s all in my head really and if they said
  18. loads of topics on this un and if memory serves me right the most popular and cost effective is some Upvc or summit from a window supplier seems too be indestructable and very popular from the people on here
  19. Believe it or not I can still only afford too rent! and I will now have too bike it too work whatever the weather! sod paying the bridge fee everyday! did a test run yesterday on the bandit and another today on the cycle great fun either way.......... What we do just for a sport hey? hopefully all will go well and i`ll be mid table in no time! ( easy route of course )
  20. Very lucky! my closest place is tiny! But after a long hard think I have decided too relocate myself first thing next year over yonder bridge and make the commute too work just too have a little more play time on the bike Oh and I can get a much nicer place over there!
