bet the frount wheel just touches the exhaust now
-
bo is that modern, period, trad or classic attention or maybe painfull attention
or in other words will you be jumpin off the bike when you ajust the head angle !
I hear pitley is thinking about wearing full mx armor/helmet when he ajust's his,
would advise 5 pints of rough per degree, for the anaesthetic before impact !

A QUESTION FOR THE PORT TALBOT PONTIFICATOR , ME THINKS !
***EDIT***
Moderators have been sent a request to delete this post - in my view, the damage has already been done as JC has seen and replied to the jibe and others have 'quoted' it in their posts.
Might as well let it stand now, I'm sure that a TC poll would support John's efforts on here...
-
Do you think the observing issue is because the trad/classic series is diluted
with so many other classes, eg center exp/youth on modern rules and the
sidecars with their rules, then there is the route for the center exp/youth, the
2/3 sidecar routes per section, would you enjoy observing that lot !
oh and i nearly FORGOT,like the reports, the trad/classic non stop sections/rules!
And as for the red, blue, yellow, orange, green, white section markers,
As for the machine eligibility, how serious are we about the trad/classic series !
surely there is enough sales information/manuls around to enable the ACU/clubs,
to act on , and if someone has decided these hybrids are ok ,whats the point of
having the pre 75 class as 99.9% of these bikes were reconstructed from the
ground up using modern components post 2001 !
And another queston i have is, Normandale now supports the trad/classic series
are they also supporting the sidecar series when they are in the same event !
If we have learned anything so far this year, its one route, trad/classic classes only!
and please can we have one set of coloured markers for the series !
-
I really, really hate to ask this but frount runners, no interest in riding/building specials, when did that appen !!!
-
Was that the German guy with the section forks ,well we all know their up to something !
Good English entry ,well marked out sections, strange weather, and did you know their
no stop rules are, you can stop with one foot on the ground for as long as you like and
only be marked a one
P.S anyone mentioned modern steering geometry yet
-
And can we have some more downhill stream sections for rappers ,the forward dive without pike for five ,was a sight to behold ,
and the language ,french if i am not mistaken !
-
Or if you want i know someone with a 5 ton press !
-
-
saw him on section 4, big 5 and nearly broke the old 4rt
-
-
Scorpa 150 cracking little bike , everything works on it for a start !
-
500 mile round trip for me plus over night stay , next year may just pick
the rounds that cater just for solo's !
-
We are talking trials bikes here ! you know the things you ride up rock steps ! irreparable damage my a%%
-
Reading the posts maybe it only needs, must be aircooled motor, adding
to the championship regs already in place !
That should at least stop any future 4RT twinshock worries !
-
Buy run it into a wall i did not mean at 40 MPH ! BUT just enough to open up a gap
it the top tube, after you have cut it
-
Forgot to put in oridginal class ,yokes and forks must be fitted !
Early days !
-
same guy who built Chris Koch's twin shock legal bike , still interested !
ty mono forks seem to be the safe bet from the owners who have fitted
them !
Still no concrete ideas on any twin shock guidelines/rules ! how about
pre75 original
pre85 original
twin shock evo e.g. new frame kits/mono sourced parts/one off specials with
air-cooled motor and drum brakes !
original class means just that , how it left the factory to exclude ,
cables, handlebars/controls, electrical systems, tyres and rims!
Anyone else got any idea's !
-
Grinder+brickwall+home made guage+mig= better stearing, works every time for me !
no x=y-x+$ to the power of 6 just a bit of trial and error and picking the brains of a bloke
whose been building twinshocks for the last 40 years !
-
It might help if we had some consistency in what colour markers
we have to follow , so far the last 3 classic/traditional trials the
twinshock/mono's have followed red, blue & white, red, blue only
then white & orange , pre75 have had white, green & yellow deviations !
It would be better for one set of section marking for every round
e.g. red & blue main route with white deviations !
Imho it's too much to ask of any club to run , what is in effect a
championship trial for 8 classes , 5 solo & 3 sidecar, and get it right
for all 8 classes, rather them than me !

-
MODERN STEERING GEOMETRY AND HANDLING that
-
-
the forecasted rain did not arrive or the scores would have
rocketed, four routes per section, red, blue, white, yellow, green
and orange markers , solo's and sidecar, ambitious to say the
least then again the sections at bootle stay the same rain or
shine and of course no need for sidecar sections !
-
that's the baby, Jon Bliss rode this bike 10 months ago and this is
the first moans about it , a gasgas motor was suggested but the cost
was too high and he could not be bothered with fitting all the water works,
i wonder if you would still be moaning if he had fitted a old ty twinshock
motor or if Chris Koch had not done so well at the Phil King !
