Never really chased prices for Trials bikes, always used BVM as they are relaible, quite close and will always help whatever the problem. Couple of places are abit cheaper but once you ve driven 300 odd miles to get it and drove back the difference does nt seem that much anymore. Plus if you have a problem that only the dealer can sort out, you ve got to go back up there loads of times. Personally I would only use an established dealer to buy a bike as you know they will be there in years to come over a bargain shop who may fold up 3 months down the road and cant sort a problem out.
Few years ago quite a few people went over to Spain to buy the bikes as the difference was quite big, resale price was poor though plus if you had to register it as well all the VAT had to be paid for. Never went that route even though it was tempting price wise, imagine if you had gone to all that trouble and the gearbox dropped out 2 months down the road

Cheers for that Ferret, yer a nice little santa prezzie sorted I think, will be writing his letter early this year
-
Well worth the money I recon, will have to save for the hangers as well but these are virtually bend proof so in the long run should be cheaper than buying lots of standard pegs. Gives better balance on the bike and dont seem to clog up as much either
-
-
The Master at his work, using the terrain to his advantage, feet glued to the pegs and plenty of body movement, even got his parachute on,have you forgot everything he taught you Ralph
-
Ralph, Dad would be dissapointed with the technique, has all his work gone to waste? your right about the picture adding weight mate, cameras heh!!!!!
-
Fine figure of a man, number 111 in the background watching in ore of the light riding over the rocks and iminent 180 flick turn further up the stream. Think thats a national earlier this year Ralph
-
Neon, sorry mate, I know what you mean! downloading Skype tonight,
-
Did Ryan show James? bike ran brilliant today, cant wait for Wales now and that hill climb.
-
Caber, how was Wales mate, any big uns?
-
Ralph, forgot about the deck chair and flask, brilliant, chased him round for abit as well, could nt move out the way fast enough. Gave you ten i rememeber and a bill for the flask
-
Heath, that camera takes some good clear pics, may have to save up for one simular. Ralph did a 4th gear wheelie a couple of weeks ago and sat him on his a***, could see him like in slow motion fishing for the rear brake. Not as bad as Big Dave though, 4 th gear on the road going to the first group of sections at the Colmore, bust all the exhaust and sub frame
Page 10 Ralph
-
Barry, yer **** dont feel it ever, like racing snakes me and Heath, you wait till you meet Dad, hopping, flick turns, hardly puts his foot down anywhere and over 50, amazing guy and lives for his trials
-
saturday is good for me, have a rest day Sunday then, stop abit longer as well
-
Ralph, get Lisa to type for you, Dads going to kill you for that post
-
We,ve got more spares than lampkins between us barry, so we'll keep you going. Heath, yer self preservation, bloody hurts big offs at 40, Barry bounces, we hit hard
-
30th is a Saturday lads, not bothered meself but may be awkward for a few?
-
You up for the 30th then Heath? really great place and miles of sections everywhere. Yer bit surprised when Barry did nt ride between us catchers, got to have been one of the best bike catches on record i think.
-
30th it is then, Ralph, Barry, Heath and crew,
Barry, me and Ralph get there at 7.30 - 8.00, hardly sleep the night before with excitement,
Ralph we doing the streams or the steps? streams would be good, Dad would come then and show us all up and we could have an ice cream at the ring of Rocks. Barry's going to love Ryans hill climb, and Coxy's Climb around the back. Just thought my bikes going to p*** up that hill now and i wont run out of fuel either
-
Got to be a gasket that, have you dropped the clutch oil yet? if so did it look like it had water in it
-
Is'nt that east yorks ralph or the Morlais trial?
-
Ralph, he wears size 35 boots mate, has to keep the straps undone as well!!!!!! Yer lots of wheels off the ground , you would have liked today, plenty of flick turn bits for you. That gap has got alot bigger since we went last, few years ago and the cliff heath went up does nt look nice at the bottom, he p****d it though, fair play
-
Yer you must be pleased, Heath is good to ride with and it always helps riding with lots of other people, much more fun and you learn quicker. Will have a chat with our lot this week about Wales, hopefully next month, let the carnage begin
-
Just cant beleive how Barry caught the ******* thing after it went over his head, would have done plenty of damage if he had nt though. Great day out with you lot, hope to do it soon again, will mail you the Wales location this week. Barry you keep doing what you are doing mate, one day soon it will all click together and you'll be really up there,
-
Topless Tramperlining Richard, you fool, who was that then? Really good day today, great to meet Barry and Heath, and hes a better rider than he makes out on here. Barry had a couple of big uns, cant beleive he only started riding in February, looks more like a few years and will have a go at pretty much anything(That Heath tells him too)
Had a good really awkward root section that could'nt be cleaned, maybe next time we have a go up there, actually rode up the cliff but only once, its about 20 feet higher than my vertigo allows, but bottled the other cliff face Heath p****d up and Barry threw the bike over his head on. Bike was incredible, no pinking at all even up the steep climbs and instant response from the throttle, may take a week or so to get used to it now.
