Cheers Heath, product testing for the site, good idea and freebies, let us all know what they are like once fiited either way. I bet they will make a noticable change to the running
-
Heath, what do you think to the V Force reeds and if good where can I get some
Cheers
-
Dave, Lampkins advised using a 5es plug and not the 7, chucked the champion as soon as i got the bike
-
Neon, you can see the bar pad and switch on the pic mate, just put the foam on and roll the cover around, works fine
-
Neon, I ve still got the standard button on and the bar pad, not had any problems with it getting in the way
-
-
Barry, you are fast becoming the Seth Enslow of the Trials world, few more months of pics like that and you may get sponsored by Repsol and become head of R&D with Renthall
-
I recon barry should take up MotoGP, it would be cheaper
-
He is truely a photographers dream come true, he must bloody ache all week, where you been today
-
Just pm'd you mate, no both Shercos, youngish lad and an older one. God what I would give to practice there mid week, have thought about it though
Actually, think the lad was on a blue gasser and not a Sherco, about 18 years old
-
Sure do mate, and the other one about half hour away. One of your lads told us about the bank holidays and the raves thanks, never had any trouble with the old bill, quite chatty sometimes I ve heard. One of the lads was on a sherco and from Tredegar if you know him. Try to go to Wales at least once a month if possible, well worth the two hour drive. May see you up there one day?
-
Should have been nine of us out today but a few did nt turn up, pic is of 4, 06 270's and a Cabestany rep, should have been 8 Betas instead. Fantastic day, rode for 8 hours nothing stupid just some great sections and a good laugh. Met up with a couple of local lads for an hour or two on Shercos, dont know how lucky you are living with this lot in your back garden. About 400 Enduros there again, but no burger van this time unfortunately. Bike rode really well and no popped plugs so maybe the resistor in the plug is causing the problem after all? Hoping to actually do a trial somewhere next weekend, anyone know where a good one is on aprox 70 mile radius of Oxford.

Remember those days! 2004 was the last time
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bike runs great as i said, but the plug popping is a little concerning. Could be too weak but everything is standard settings now on the carb, may try a larger main if it keeps doing it. Not unheard of plugs going, but one a week is abit excessive, still think the carb is f----ed and causing it
You lads dont change plugs out of a matter of course then? never keep one for more than a couple of months just incase.
-
Been looking at all your pics on your site mate, top quality, must have taken you forever uploading them all. Bet the practice day was good as well, must have had a good pass to get near them all. Will post some of my efforts tomorrow or Monday from Wales, should be a good day and even better laugh
-
Yer, nice one barry! I have noticed the frame number has 666 in it? Still think its the heat or the resistor or there again could be the bike itself, running well now though but will be throwing plugs in every week by the look of it. Only three hours today? at least 8 for us tomorrow in Wales, cant wait. The Goat is going so I have the camera to hand incase he can beat your off at Gwent, dont have Heaths Photo skills though so hope I can catch it. If he comes off it will be on something really big and something he should nt have been trying!!! as usual
Cheers

Using NGK BPR 5ES in the rev 3 270, have done 3 plugs in the past three weeks now, is it the heat? or something else. Bike is running superb now and plug chops show nice colours and does nt seem to be running lean or rich. Did hear the Resistor type plugs have a tendancy to go bang often so i am trying the non resistor type for the next few weeks. Anyone else been popping plugs lately?

Fellon is right, you probably have a tube in the tyre as the guy before may have stuck it in to cure a puncture, go get a new michelin tubeless and problem solved
-
I would buy a tubeless tyre instead of tubed, will be more difficult to change tyres but I have never had problems with tubless tyres. Make sure you have rim tape fitted and when you blow the tyre up to seat the bead make sure it pops twice, You will need a compressor and a tyre beader which you can get these days to help with the job (BVM moto). You may have to inflate the tyre up to 60-70lbs of pressure before the bead will pop on. Will be tricky for the first few tyres you do but they will get easier. If you prefer the tubed tyre I would fit a tyre clamp to stop the tyre spinning.
-
Leggins, rear wheels are usuallyfitted with tubeless tyres, unless you stick a tube in to cure a puncture. Has the wheel got a tyre clamp fitted? this helps keep the tyre from spinning on the wheel as yours has.
-
May know someone who has one , I will pm you tomorrow when i ve spoken to him
-
mmmmmmmmmmm sorry Andy, think i signed in using 193 of my pseudonyms, wont happen again!!!!
-
Take the liner in the shower with you and wash it with shampoo, really scrub it in and keep squeezing out all the sh8te. Give the inside of the helmet a clean as well before putting the liner back in. There are helmet sanitizors on the market which work.
-
Thanks Andy, great job on the vids and pics as well, just watched them all.
Jack 20 vids available for supporters and 80 pics plus, do it tonight
-
Hi Jack, heres the link to sign up. My account never changed when I signed up so yours should nt either. Well worth the tenner for all the extra vids and pics, still not got my stickers though Andy, plenty of room on the bike for them still.
