  1. after all if it was easy for you we would be calling you mr. bou! rob
  2. a bad day riding is better than a good day working, that said. you really want some sections you can't clean if you can you need to make them harder. so you now have one you can work real hard on. enjoy it, work hard and before you know it you will be trying to figure out how to make it tougher rob
  3. is there a fence around the reserve? how do the lions know not to go outside of the reserve to eat people? here in the US we can't even get people to respect boundaries much less the animals. rob
  4. cool, the spots to the left are just roll ups. the one spot to the right different story rob
  5. good job man. also i've been riding for over 35 years i've cured lots of technical problems over the years with patience and practice but i can't find a cure for all the dumb mistakes i make. keep working on it and have fun rob
  6. hold your foot on the rear brake while working the clutch against the brake and pulling back on the bars. make sure you use your legs more than your arms by bending your knees a lot more than you might think. also it take a bit of practice to learn how to keep the rear brake on while doing this. once you start to feel this movement you will learn how much throttle and clutch to use as well as how much body movement. i hope this makes sense rob
  7. go billy, would like to see a photo of the outcome??????????? rob
  8. mokwepa, i use vimeo, free account upload there post link here. also lots of trials video on vimeo rob
  9. cool job you have there. can you take video? would love to see your place. rob
  10. a bad day riding is better than a good day working. if you can get up a new obstacle on one of the first 50 tries it's to easy. practice hard................ rob
  11. move that blue barrel in front of the big tire, put those logs on an incline about 1 bike length apart then practice up and down, also on the logs do figure 8 turning up and down the logs. don't use kickers until the step is really big it just hides lack of technique. do turns with an obstacle at the entrance , midway and exit. one of those small rocks are enough to make any turn more difficult. do everything right as well as left. don't really need to worry about a complete section as much as learning the proper way and various techniques over each obstacle. looking good so far keep up the motivation. rob
  12. yes young grasshopper Practice your weaknesses until they are your strengths. lol or you could just quote yoda. rob
  13. i like your thinking there zippy rob
  14. cool, what are you using to mount the camera? i use my cotton carrier that is made to hold dslr's for hiking. rob
  15. get rid of the kicker. might be time for bigger obstacles? rob
  16. that tire is in good shape keep riding or send it to me plenty of life left in it. rob
  17. on my last bike i left the tires on and competed for 6 seasons. i rode at least 2 weekends a month and competed in about 6 events per year. i don't normally do that but when my daughter came into my world i just didn't worry about spending the money and wasn't riding much. now i change them whenever i feel the need. also i think i concentrated on riding position more with the old tires on. riding the sportsman line i don't think it mattered much anyway. i will say it sure was nice to get a new bike and new tires after riding the same bike for 6 years. most say the beta has problems but i never really had any issue that wasn't really related to me crashing and breaking something. i'd say change tires as budget and your own need arises. rob
  18. if he keeps rolling right out of the section does that give him a three in no stop rules?
  19. i only replace what i break, i break when i fall. i fall when i try something above my normal skill comfort zone. breaking stuff is part of off road riding. when i raced mx bikes i replace stuff every week. mainly clutch plates and piston rings, just normal maintenance parts for going fast. i rode my beta for 6 years and only replaced the hand grips and 1 set of tires and the front master cylinder. i fell on my 2013 sherco and bent the front fork brace, it's just part of life when we ride. also when i was young my dad made me buy my own parts which meant i needed a job to get parts and gas. theres a lesson to be learned here, "wanna play, then you have to pay" sounds like dad maybe doing the right thing? trials is still the cheapest motorsport around. rob
  20. i thought i put a post here seems i may have put it somewhere else. anyway photo's from the US world round thanks for looking rob http://www.rpvphotography.com/Motorsports
  21. # Any more info on the new Mont / Honda? Cheers from what i see in testing the new mont is prone to sudden stalling to allow teammate to finnish higher in the points. the new motor is quite enough for spectators to hear spanish obscenities. other features will be in the soon to be released spec sheet.
