  13. Most of us dont agree with the practice of Stripping a perfectly good Twinshock iron just to make more money out of selling the bits seperately on the Bay, However can you blame the Guy who has just Stripped and sold a Mont MH200 and made approx
  14. Thanks Guy's, Problem sorted, Regards, Vaughan
  15. Hi, I have a TY 250 series 3 1978, can someone tell me if the Mikuni vm 24 is the right carb for my bike and what jet size, needle settings are recommended. Cheers, Frankie.
  16. Restoring or simply maintaining older bikes like twinshocks is getting more expensive each year, some suppliers who have become well know names seem to have bumped the price of their Products by 100% in some cases, I have changed suppliers several times for this reason, I now deal with just a couple of Guys who are reasonable but also reliable, i wont mention Names but they can be found on ebay. Good luck. Vaughan
  17. Thanks swooshdave, i have changed the colour scheme to something a bit more subtle, the blue on red was a bit much, Cheers, Vaughan.
  18. Hi There, Anyone into Twinshock Trials might like to take a look at my web page devoted to this marque on www.twinshock-trials.piczo.com Ther is info and pictures of the two bikes i have restored and update of the one im doing at the moment, there is also a page for general twinshock trials stuff and if anyone would like to donate a Picture, past or present or just add your comments I will be happy to include them on the page, the page is non profit making and is just a bit of a pass time for me. Cheers, Vaughan.
  19. I visit the site at least twice per day for news and info on my hobby of restoring Twinshox, im never disapointed and have made some great contacts and a few friends. On a slightly negative side I do find the site slow at times when the next page times out, also just a suggestion but a good makeover of the front page is long overdue it is looking tired these days, some of the headlines are yonks old. All in all though i wouldnt be without it, Well done Andy and keep it coming. Vaughan.

    Ossa Tanks

Hi, When i restored my Ossa Tr a mate who is a car sprayer had no trouble getting the old pint off with industrial paint stripper he managed to fill a massive ding in the side, matched the original colour paint by a sample measured from under part of the Stickers, also my new decals were darker than the original i was told this was due to the old ones becoming lighter with age and sunlight, You can take a look at my tank before and after on my web page, www.OSSA-restoration.piczo.com Good luck, Vaughan.
  24. Thanks for your comments and suggestions 'Feetup' I will go with your opinion on the Stickers, Im going to the Classic dirt bike show at Malvern in Feb i hope to pick up the missing bits for both bikes, Send me a few pics of your Sherpa T when you get time, Cheers, Vaughan.
