well I dug into my very deep pockets and shelled out for a 2010 exc 200 with 45 hrs on it. not had a chance to ride it properly cos we are moving house, again!!!!! and the wife seems to think its more important to sort that out cos she is going on holiday to Afghanistan for 5 months at the end of the month.
Had to buy a lower seat tho cos i'm too nuch of a short a*** to touch the floor on it.

Cheers for the info LOONAL.
Right then, Today I rode the last round of the scottish enduro champs on my trials bike and I am so glad I was on a trials bike cos it was hard enough on that never mind a bigger heavier bike.
It was quite a tight and rough course which I found not to bad on the trials bike and caught up and passed a few guys on enduro bikes and could even keep up with the experts until my fatness kicked in.
So this is pushing me more towards the t ride. does anyone know someone selling one??? ive seen the one on ebay but it might as well be in cuba its that far away.
NOTE: Trials tyres are pump in a wet craiglash enduro!!!!
-
Thanks for all the replies.
I am still undecided.
I have ridden 2 enduro events before the wr got seized by the rozzers 1 H&H at elgin and 1 enduro at lossie now in both of them i never got higher than 3rd gear and the suspension on a trials bike would have been fine. What I did notice was that the enduro bike was a big lump to lug around in the tight woods.
I'm doing the craiglash enduro on my trials bike on sun so I will see how it goes and maybe get a ride on a 200 while im there.
I think the t-ride would be ideal as its smaller quite light and as i'm used to trials bikes the geometry would suit me better. the biggest worry is like you say the suspension.
AGGGGHHHHHH decisions decisions

HELLO FOLKS,
Thinking about buying a T-ride for riding enduro as im a bit short and the yam wr i had i was struggling to get my feet down and was wondering how does it ride as an enduro bike? I have never ridden one but used to have a sy250F so all input is welcome.
the other option is a KTM EXC 200

make sure you don't loose the nylon washer thingys. and be careful when you are removing the sw/arm not to lift it too high and end up shearing the rear brake hose where it bolts to master cylinder. other than that its pretty simples

I picked up a fat chick wearing a tracksuit in my taxi and dropped her off at the park.
She jumped out and started jogging down the road beside me.
"You go girl!" I shouted with a wolf whistle. "You'll be losing those pounds before you know it."
"My ******* scarf's trapped in the door, you idiot," she replied.
-
I went up to this fat bird in the pub last night.
"You're a big lass, aren't you?" I said.
"Tell me something I don't know," she replied with a tear in her eye.
"Salad tastes nice."
Just heard the 2012 Olympics will have the 'French Self-Defence' event.
Or the marathon as it's known.

I was watching Red or Black with my girlfriend the other night, and I said to her, "I know a sex version of this game show, do you fancy playing it?"
"Yes, I'm up for that," she giggled, "How does it work?"
"It's quite simple," I replied, "Pink or Brown?"

+1 to what rev3 said
used to ride round lincolnshire a few years ago. All the clubs are really friendly. And you will get a trial pretty much every weekend within an hour or so drive if you join all the clubs mentioned above
As for practice like most places in the uk land for trials is at a premium the only place I know since the demise of metheringham quarry ( shame it was an awesome venue) is wilsons farm near the Humber bridge.
-
yeah shouldn't be a problem. The only thing I struggle with is remembering to take the camera in the first place!!!! then remembering to switch it on. Took it to the manx this year and have about 2 mins of footage cos I forgot to switch it on!!!!!!
-
no 5 we were just dicussing how I nearly cleaned it but had a silly dab or two. Was suffering with arm pump that day so was having a bit of a rest and video a couple of the other guys cos it was a pretty big section although the camers doesn't show it.

Must be an old age thing
There is always the mute button
-
it's a contour hd, not quite figured out the optimum up load settings cos t looks a bit poo compared with the original.
Police were nothing to do with the trial they were further up the hill and stopped to talk to one of the observers. (i think)
