  1. pretty sure you can only ride upto a 125 on cbt with L plates I managed to do my direct access for a couple of hundred quid after cbt, a couple of lessons to know what they are looking for on the test, then go for it, think it will be worth it in the long run.
  2. just take your mankini and your waterproof poncho, thats you got all angles covered
  3. Have to agree i use them for my trials and enduro bikes, currently trying to get the enduro road reg and they sent me out a cover note for the vin the next day, great service and they put both bikes on one policy which saved me a packet.
  4. The bike shouldn't lose any water at all!! check the rediador, hoses and around the water pump. if no leaks then drop the oil, if its like milk then a seal has gone. what do you mean by the fan getting stuck? does it try to spin the stops? not spin at all? let us know and we will help as much as we can, I dont have any experience with this model but there will be people on here that do. the above is just general trials bike stuff that applies to all makes and models.
  5. I get to use a ford connect from work to transport my trials bike, it handles really well and is quite pokey (depends on which engine you get i suppose) and you can get two bikes in easily (think its the lwb version) it does seem to be a little bit thirsty tho. dont know about the fiat cargo never driven one
  6. they are pretty straight forward, if you can get the top cap off without it hitting the bars you can leave the leg on but it will be a pain to fill it with oil tho. I would say its worth taking the leg off. 1. slacken top cap 2. remove front wheel 3. slacken triple clamp 4. remove leg 5. remove top cap 6. drain oil 7. remove bottom bolt 8. remove spring assembly 9. seperate stantion from the bottom (the seal willcome with it) 10. change the seal 11. refit stantion 12. tap seal into place using seal driver or old seal 13. refit bottom bolt 14. insert spring assy 15. fill with oil to req level 16. refit top cap 17. refit leg 18. refit front wheel 19. ride up some massive waterfall clean with brazil's female beach volleyball team watching 20. reap the rewards not sure what year your bike is but if it 08 or newer the oil levels are HERE
  7. Helicoil insert or pull the old one out and glue a nyloc nut in its place use some two part epoxy stuff that will dry as hard as the air box.
  8. I think someone may be grounded for a week maybe 2
  9. had an old kangoo for a few years and could only fit 1 bikein corner to corner. Had to put the passenger seat down to fit the enduro bike in too. pick up my fiat scudo tomorrow no more patching and filling holes for me
  10. Hello folks, My little red renault kangoo aka "the patmobile" has failed it's mot because it rotten and old and generally a piece of crap, so I am now in the market for a new set of wheels and considering one of the above. I'm looking for the 2l version and was just wondering what experiencies (good or bad) anyone has had with them???? Cheers Spike

    Blisters

I only said thats what caused my blisters, I then rode another 16 hours over the ertzberg course passing doug, graham and taddy to get to the finish and drink 2 slabs of stella, had an hours sleep then done it all again. Nails us RAF lads. I must remind you of the RAF Technicians moto, "we check-in not dig in"
  12. awesome trial today, the sections were spot on nice and flowing with a choice of lines and the sun was out!!!!!! Thanks to everyone involved for a fantastic day out (I'll get that

    Blisters

make sure your gloves fit properly,if they are too big they will bunch up which was the cause of my blisters
  14. I know, I said miracle not divine intervention
  15. I'll bring the camera I would like to have some record of a genuine miracle
  16. Bon accord trial at craiglash, Awesome venue and a great club deffo worth going
  17. Having just ridden the ian pollock memorial trial today, whilst coming along the black water path i was thinking to myself this would make a great part of an extrerme enduro. if you start at kinlochleven take them up pipeline, then up the track to blackwater with a few technical diversions, a bit of moore work back on the track for a bit of high speed stuff with a few more diversions and finish them in fort bill, it would be awesome. Why cant we have our hells gate or erzberg???? we have the tough one but how about one single lap mayhem, we have the land lets use it!!! (apart from it being apart of the west highland way but the isle of man close their roads for the tt) Anybody got Mr redbulls phone number????? The tree huggers would have a heart attack and we would undoubtetly run over a few ramblers, but thats no great loss. (i've had a few beers which makes my idea sound even more awesome hence the post ) Andy can we have a real ale smiley please???
  18. That goes for any bike doesn't it????? i can use the right gear, revs, clutch etc on my scorpa and get loads of grip as can anyone on any bike. I think its horses for courses to be honest, i've ridden a few 4rt's including my mates dads ex dibs bike and I couldnt get on with any of them and its not that I'm not used to 4t as I have only just gone to a 2t in the last 10 months. but I find the power comes in one big lump and they are HEAVY. obviusly a load of people like them tho cos there were loads at the pollock trial today at kinlochleven. That lad Bou seems to be a reasonable rider on one tho
  19. err well... the snow was so bad I couldn't get there.. actually, the french attacked with their 1664 and won!!!!!!! Sorry! howd it go?
  20. Having recently moved from england to scotland I was just wondering why there is such a big difference between the ACU/SACU trials registration? Is it due to numbers?? as there is obviously more clubs/riders to spread the cost south of the border or is it land policy? or something else? I must add I don't mind in the slightest paying the fee as it works out at less than a meesley £1 a week. Also how do the enduro guys manage to charge £40 for an event when us trials guys manage it for £10???? again I really appreciate all the work everyone puts in to all these events im just curious (not in a gay way). Cheers Spike
  21. move your hips in the direction you want to move the back end. move your hips, load the suspension with your a*** out to the side you want to hop, hoy on front brake, transferyour weight forward. should work but i cant do it without dabbing after ive done it. hope it helps
  22. I did my first 3hr hare and hounds today in elgin, man those things are a handful and they really dont like tree roots. had a good result tho managed 1st place in the sportsman class. As for the bamcc one im not sure I could put myself through that again!!!!!!! But i might send the entry form off anyway
  23. Got in touch with barry, what a really helpful bloke, I have now entered the sportsman class for the hare and hounds elgin endurance club are holding this sun (i think a world of hurt is instore!!!!!!) so wont be at bamcc trial this weekend. I will make it up by entering the bamcc enduro next weekend tho. You not fancy ago onthe trials bike??? As for GMCC and woodside apparently they want to concentrate on moto x and you can no longer use anything other than the motox track at woodside. hence the reason barry set up a new club.
  24. Craig Robinson is listed twice, champs route and exp B???? are there two???
