Having owned a scorpa 250f and ridden the ssdt on one, I would say It could make a reasonable trail bike but you will have to mod it. The issue with the carb being close to the front pipe is not a problem, you can remove the heat sheild that normally ends up touching the carb and wrap the pipe with exhaust wrap and wirelock it on never had an issue with that. What i did have problems with was the heat from the back box melting everything in that area, this only happened because of the road work on the ssdt never had a problem until then, bolted on top of the exhaust is a plastic mounting plate which the rear mudguard is mounted too, the bolts holding it on get really hot and end up being pulling through the plate and the mudguard ends up flapping around and will constantly spank your ass over rough ground!!!! (this may be right up your street ) this will then end up wrecking the mudguard. The airbox also runs next to the exhaust which is made from plastic and can deform the top cap where the filter goes. Also the excess heat ruined the exhaust its self as it is soft ally, not the best for a 4t that runs a lot hotter than a 2t, it basically peeled open with the movement from the guard and the mounting lugs where it mounts to the frame have a tendancy to snap, had to have mine welded a few times. other than that it was ok.

need some help, I will be going to look at and possibly purchase a 2006 wr 250f and need some advice on what to look for on this particular model, are there any particular faults i need to look for? Also does anyone know if it will fit in the back of my renault kangoo? or will I have to take te front wheel off? thanks for your help Spike

just watched it online in my poxy barrack block room in norfolk using an internet dongle and it worked great!!!! agree with the sections being too technical, made it quite boring to watch i thought.

Short out the 2 terminals on the thermostat on the bottom of the rad then start the bike, if the fan comes on it's your thermostat thats gone not the fan. you could also connect the fan to a car battery, if you have it out that is. try the thermostat first and let us know how you get on.

As long as you look after a scorpa you will never have too change.the yam engine is Bullet proof. And to be honest the perfect bike for 80% of club riders. I have an 08 2t now and have no intention of changing. Nice and easy to ride and can still get you up the big stuff.

Hello folks, I want to have a championship but our riders are spread all around the country and are all varying abilities. Does anyone know of a points system that I could use to get one eventual winner???? I would use other clubs events and extract our riders from the results and award points but it's very rare we are all at the same event due to work and logistics. So how can I work out the points with people riding different routes, clubs etc Your thoughts please.

dominant in the juniors. thats why i was asking if it was just the difference in levels from the junior to world champs. but im sure he dipped in the btc too but then again its horses for courses, and i hope alexz does well. its good to see three perm riders in the indoor series and i hope they enjoy it. wish i could be good enough to do my hobby for a living. come on you brits!!!!!

Is this a good move???? brown was pretty dominant on the beta then moved to sherco and dropped off a tad, or was it the jumpto full world champs level that showed the big gap between the levels????? although he did seem to fade in the british too. thoughts
