Classic Trials Honda
Where did the Seeley bikes come from? I don't know much about the history of trials bikes but I love the older stuff. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Which Fanny Pack?
I have noticed that in the US when the fanny pack is worn in the front it is refered to a holster because there is usually a pistol in there.

Seat / Tank Replacement
Any idea how much lighter they are than the stock parts?

Back In The Saddle!
I know what you mean. Me and my 270 Gas Gas parted ways this fall and I am back to riding my '74 TY250. I am planning on just riding it all this year in the intermediate class at the modern events. Can't really get another modern bike now so I figured what the heck. How much of a handicap can it really be at my level of riding anyway?

Oil Capacity?
How much oil does a '98 Montesa hold in the case?

Tl125 Throttle
I got the Domino in and had to shorten the stock cable about 1/2" to work. Kevin, the solder pot works. Everything was going smooth until I used Honda grip glue to put on my NEW Renthal grips. Got them on perfect, neat and went back inside. Checked about half hour later and the Honda glue had disolved the ends of the grips!! Talk about disappointed (p****d!!). FYI, use Renthall glue.

Ty Twinshock Mods
I have a TY250 that I have had for a while and the best thing I ever did to it was put a new set of shocks on it. I got a set of Falcons and never knew how poorly my bike rode until I put them on. They are expensive but the best mod you can do. Heck, my old shocks were stock which means they were 30 years old so you know a new set makes a difference. Other than new IRC tires and a Mikuni carburator, my bike is pretty stock. Very reliable and is capable of getting through, over and up things that are beyond my abilities. IMHO the TY dosn't need much fiddeling with. Enjoy it. I sold my modern bike to spend the money on my TY and a TL125 I have. I will get a Montesa 315 soon but I am enjoying the old bikes just as much.

Seat / Tank Replacement
Just ordered a Sammy Miller seat tank replacement for my TY250. Are there any adjustments that need to be made to fit or is it a straight bolt on swap? What would be the best way to store the old tank to keep it from rusting up inside?

Simple Question?
If you have the book that came with the bike, it probaply has the bolt size listed, torque spec., day of the week it was made and who made it listed. No, really it is probably listed and sized so you can just go somewhere locally and get the proper bolt and a jam nut. If you don't have it, let me know and I will look it up for you in my book.

Tl125 Throttle
Kevin, that is the answer I needed. I remember having a few of the end peices laying around from other Dominos I have bought but I never really knew how to go about soldering them on a cable. With the copper cap for a dip tank, couldn't I use a propane torch to melt the solder and keep it melted? Excellent solution.......thanks.

Tl125 Throttle
Good idea. I can take mine off the TY and try it, forgot about that one. Bob has one and the cable but I'm so cheap I have to try and figure out a free way first. My wife gets suspicious when the UPS keeps dropping off boxes from B&J. I've had three packages in the last month and am expecting another today. This one is a new tire for the TL so any associated heat will be worth it for all that new found traction. I just have to remind her that I got the TL so she could ride with us on the loop!!

Tl125 Throttle
No, I'm not going to be able to go. We are going to the TTC in March for the Training days. Looking forward to that.

Tl125 Throttle
Anyone know if I can use the stock TL throttle cable with a Domino throttle assembly. Found out the stock throttle tube is $16 and a new entire Domino assembly is $20 so I plan on replacing the whole thing. If I can use the stock cable, will I have to cut it off or anything? Anybody have a alternative solution? It would be nice if I had one laying around where I could try it but I will have to order it before being able to try it out.

Here is a great article on what each jet does and when. Really cleared things up for me. http://www.speedandsport.com/jet.html

Best Sprokets
Does anyone have any advise on the optimum sproket and counter sproket sizes for a '74 TY250. I am wanting to make second more usable and mabey even see what third feels like. I was really wanting to change out the counter sproket because it's obviously cheaper. Is it true that dropping one tooth on the counter sproket is like adding 4-5 on the rear sproket?

Which camera?
Funny, that's what the man said when we bought our first "new" car. Then I learned what being upside down was all about. I would like to check the cameras out. I have an extra TY pipe on the way to play with so I'll get with you when it gets here.
