  1. That is the beauty of marking sections with all white tape. Run the sections one direction one day, and then the other direction, the next. Running sections backwards can be REAL interesting, sometimes. Thats definately the easy way to make 12 sections into 24 sections real fast!
  2. I have the float bowl extension on my '05 rev 3, but my question is this. Shouldn't you need a longer main jet so it actually reaches the aditional fuel? Is this what the little "extendo thingy" is supposed to simulate?
  3. The '08 format is definately interesting. Our club has put on Nationals in the past, and we have talked about doing another one. A two day trials with National caliber sections is tough enough, but trying to find enough interesting terrain to do a 3 day without getting repetetive will definately be a challenge for any club!
  4. DGShannon, yeah, I read that. After I posted! Oh well. Glad to see some changes. It definately looks like a move in the right direction. Both events are located centrally and are great locations.
  5. So, as a working man, there is no way I'd ever be able to make it to all of the nationals in one year. Being from PA, the west coast rounds are totally out of the question vacation time wise. Does anyone think that rider participation would go up if there were separate East and West coast series? Maybe with an east vs. west shoot out at the end like in Supercross or something? I'm just throwing it out there for the sake of conversation. Lets hear some other opinions!
  6. As I understand it, there won't be any trials @ motorama this year.
  7. Word is RC has Cronic Fatigue Syndrome. He didn't rece the US open and he is out for the Bercy SX also.
  8. I heard there were 60.000 there for Saturday qualifying. 80,000+ was a definate possibility for Sunday's race. It was packed!
  9. I was there. Nobody had an answer for Ryan Vilopotto's speed. He creamed everyone!
  10. Dang! I will be attending the Motocross of Nations @ Budds Creek this weekend or I'd be there. The 4 stroke demo would be great. Any chance of you having the bike at our district 6 event in October? Adam
  11. 1st I'd have to ride one. That's how I made the deciion to buy my current bike. A 2005 rev 3 270. I was looking for something like a Mont 315R and the beta was the closest thing. Also, because I'm cheap I'd wait until next year and buy one that is a year old
  12. I never said everyone elses bikes were stock. Just much closer to stock.
  13. I could be totally talking out my back side here so correct me if I'm wrong. I would think that a 4T Montesa takes alot more modifications to be competitive on the world level than say a stock Gas Gas or or any othe 2 stroke for that matter. Big bore kit, electronic ignition mapping blah, blah, blah. I'm just sayin. Bou won the title. I don't think it really matters what bike he rides.
  14. I have no idea why we wouldn't want someone to join in on the Nat'l battle, no matter who they are. Look back at what happened with MX in the 60's and 70's. The euros came over here and wooped our buts! They could easily beat any rider that we had here in the USA. By the late 70's and early 80's the USA was on top of the world in MX. We now have FIM world champs coming to the USA to fight for an AMA MX or SX championchip. When you add a guy to the mix that is a step above the competion the other riders are going to have to step up their game.
  15. Glad you guys had fun! I'm with ya on the celebration beers! A few too many! Amiller, now I'm putting it together! I came up and rode an event at your place last year. Good job putting on a quality event in a small area. Be sure to clue us in if you have another one! Adam
  16. The fat bar adapters should get you roughly 3/4" of rise. Adam
  17. So Ryan and Ben both had Mechanical DNFs and Suzikis' Ryan Dungey won the East/West Shootout! Who'd have thunk it! Bring on the great outdoors!
  18. So we pulled off our 1st event of the year yesterday with almost perfect weather. I was told we had a turn out of 78 riders! 1st place in Beginer, Novice, and Intermediate recieved a new back tire! I had several compliments on the event from riders passing thru my section. I also had quite a few guys miss section 9. I guess we didn't have it marked well on the loop. Sorry guys! Adam
  19. So this years Outdoor Lites(250F) battle in the USA should be a good one! I'm sure there are some Ben Townley fans on this board right? What does everybody think? I'm sure that without any unfortunate injuries, this years Lites battle is going to be between the defending Champ Ryan Villopoto and 2004 MX2 World Champ Ben Townley. After seeing Ben hang with Ricky in the 2005 MX Des Nations I know that he is fast! Ben just won our East Coast Lites Supercross championship also. The East/West shootout in Las Vegas should be great! Don't count out Jason Lawrence either! I gonna root for Ryan but atleast we have some racing in the lites class. The premier class is pretty much a James Stewart runaway! I can't wait until Ryan and Ben move up! Adam
  20. Should be a great event! We had one there in '05. This one has all new sections. Nice scenic loop too! You won't be disappointed! Did you attend the event in Dubois hollow last fall? That one was on my ground. Not having one there this year. Adam

    2001 Rev 3

I run a 10t front sprocket on my 05 rev3 270. I ride most sections in 2nd gear. 1st with the 11t didn't seem to suit me for any thing and 2nd was too high. With the 10t 2nd is good for almost anything but I hardly ever use 1st. The gap between 4th and 5th is still completely rediculous. Adam
