  1. Has anyone got the entries for this weekends BTC? Thanks
  2. Does anyone have a link to any results from the Southern Experts last weekend? Thanks in advance.
  3. Stick your knees or legs out to counter balance, thats the best way
  4. The oil i use is Putoline light gear oil and have used it since new. I doubt it is the oil because loads of people i know have shercos and run this oil and have no trouble at all. And it does it all the time, low and high rpm.
  5. A while ago I posted a topic about clutch plates for my 09 sherco 125. We replace the plates because I was getting a strange juddering noise when holding the clutch on its biting point, this caused the bike to be very awkward to ride. We have changed both metals and friction plates and still getting the same problem!! Its hard to explain but basically the bike 'squeals' and judders when held on biting point. Anyone know how this problem can be overcome? Many Thanks.
  6. Thanks for you help guys, will give local dealer a call to find out.
  7. I need to order a new clutch for my 09 ShercoR 125 and was wondering whether like it said in the spec that it has a Race clutch? Or is it just the master cylinder that is different? Because if it does then i need to order Race ones! Thanks in advance.
  8. Thats why I am going to get a van... cheapest i could get a 1.0litre corsa which was mid 90's was nearly
  9. As I am 17 and have booked my driving test I am currently looking for small vans which can fit two bikes in. First looked at Ford Connect but they are too expensive for my first vehicle so was wondering about a Vauxhall Combo. Can anyone that has one tell me if they fit two bikes in and please could they post up a picture? I don't want to buy a van and end up with it only fitting one/none bikes in! You may be thinking that a car with a rack would be better for me but van insurance is alot cheaper than car insurance for a 17 year old! Many thanks
  10. Won't let me play it! Sounds like a good vid. just comes up with a box in left hand corner. help !
  11. Well... it was surpose to be non-stop. All the other observers allowed riders to stop except from that observer on number 18! Even clerk of course told him to let them stop but he wouldn't have it. But to be honest that observer (who im not saying his name) is sooo grumpy and can't hear either! Hes well known in the SE and everyone moans about him! Its a shame really because observers are so important in trials and without them we would be stuck. Anyway i agree it was a awesome trial! like it always is every single year, great thanks to sidcup and Freestyle (CLICK ME)
  12. Wahoo! All sorted now! Went up and down the gears fine when i tested it today. You were all right - that gear was surpose to spin because the new gear span on the bush fine. It must have taken a big knock to move that bush but luckily the shaft was in good condition. Could have been worse i surpose! Thanks again for your input, helped alot
  13. Yes we found both teeth lieing in the bottom, they had been snapped clean off so wasn't any small lose bits about. Still cleaned it all out with oil though! Thanks you for input guys!
  14. We did think that it was surpose to rotate but wasn't totally sure. We have assembled it all to how the manual descrides it and have also taken it down to our local dealer for them to look at and they were fine with it too. We have ordered new gear, shaft and bush so when it arrives we can see whether it free wheels or not.
  15. A few weeks ago my chain jumped off the sprocket at high revs, the bike stopped immediately and also damaged the 3rd gear within the gearbox. We split the engine and found that 3rd gear (gear pinion 3EME. Part no. = MO59) had two teath broken off! we ordered the new gear and fitted it but we discovered that once the gearbox was put back together we were unable to select 3rd gear. It would go through 1st, neutral and 2nd fine but would get stuck half way trying to get into 3rd. Stripped gearbox again but couldn't find anything wrong! Scratched our heads a few times and percivered by taking 3rd gear out completely and just having 1st and 2nd! I have now been running with only 1st and 2nd for a couple of weeks mainly to compete in important trials late in december! Have now stripped the engine once again to find the reason of this problem. After looking at it again we narrowed it down to the 'free pinion gear' part no. = MO58 having rotated on its bronze bush that sits on the shaft. this has made it impossible for the other gear below to interlock with it. After we noticed this we rotated the 'free pinion gear' (MO58)that was very tight on the bush (MO67) so that it locks into this adjacent gear. Once we done this it went up and down the gearbox normally! Since we done this the gear has moved again so 3rd cannot be selected anymore. The gear (MO59) that was originaly broken in the gearbox locks into the gear on the bush (MO58) so where they met at contact it would have dislodged or damaged the bush? We were just wondering whether this gear (MO58) is surpose to be free wheeling on this bush or fixed in the right position for the other gear to lock into it? Hope it makes sense and thanks for your replies! EDIT: Forgot to attach link to the sherco parts book! - http://www.sherco.com/spare_parts/2009/200...ok_trial-2T.pdf I think its something like page 14. This problem is concerning gears 8 and 9, basically gear 12 isn't interlocking with gear 8.
  16. Talking about how the fuel tank will hold up, do you every see a split in the silencer on previous shercos? well surely it won't be any difference to the silencer?? just a thought!
  17. So while on the subject on stalling when footing and saying its a five unless its only the tyres in contact with the ground, just out of interest if someone was sumped out on a log and the bike stalls would you give them a five? although their feet are on the pegs? just an interesting grey area in the rules really...
  18. Any ideas as to what jets you would use in a keihin for a 09 sherco 125?? if anyone that has any jets in their's that make it go like a rocket.. that would be kewl (just out of interest)
  19. bone under his knee cap aparently...
  20. Check that the earth's bolt is tight and they havn't come apart. When i had my 07 125 gasser i had a simiular problem and it turned out that the earth bolt had fallen out, causing it to misfire. Just a thought
  21. Thanks for your help, much appreciated. We definatly put too much oil in!
  22. Thanks alot! yes that helps... so for example in a 5 litre petrol can how much oil in 'ml' would you put in? Because we might have put too much oil in. It recommends 2%, so is this not right?
  23. Yep... sherco race 125. its awesome!! had a gasser before and the sherco has loads more power, really good Would post some pics but don't know how!?
